Well it’s about the story (What Kevin mentioned in the full pitch but it’s kind of cut off here), they met in theatre (she did that acrobatics stuff) and they fell in love, he made the pancakes to impress her. and they both got laid off cuz of covid. David being in here is also random but he had no equity in the company but became good friends with the couple before they were laid off so David was being s good friend vouching for the brand. It seems so random though put out of context 😅

I don’t have anything against nepotism either but to pretend that you got there on your own and you were some hard worker always rubs me the wrong way. There are a lot to hard workers and some of them just don’t get good breaks.

I just meant Goop is such a blatant and obvious scam that it's shocking she's allowed on a show with people who appear to have legitimate businesses. With the others there is at least some question of if they intentionally scam large numbers of people.

10x is on the top end for tech companies, unless they're insanely fast growth silicon valley companies. But they knew that going in. They valued it that high because they knew they'd be talked down. Not a bad strategy.

I would be checked out like Mark as well if I had to be on set with their special guest. I have a feeling he was asked to try and get her on a deal as he really was pushing at the end (and didnt close 😂).

I think the deal just makes sense for mark, he wouldn’t miss the money and Gwennith would do all the heavy lifting getting the diapers in the hands of her cult members. He would have probably made money. However what usually happens is the deal breaks down when the sharks get access to the companies financials. Most viewers would think these companies are just small businesses started in someones garage, but the reality is most of them already have a shitload of investors and are leveraged up to their eyeballs in debt.

Also seriously why do the people pitching these businesses feel like they have to shout in a stupid candy voice
