I think her voice was always overwhelmed by sound effects and production in previous songs and that's why she sounded like that before. Maybe because she wasn't that vocally talented or her korean was lacking??? I don't know, but now her voice sounds way better and bold instead of being buried in the instrumental.

I read somewhere a long time ago(like right after they debuted)that she’s not really fluent in Korean, hence the reason she doesn’t have many lines(although I’ve noticed that each comeback she steadily gets more lines, so that’s a good thing. It means she’s getting more comfortable with the language. It’s not easy to sing in other languages if it’s not your mother tongue. It can be done phonetically, but it’s not the same)
