Lost key at 4am today and this worked a treat. I didn't take the cup holder part out list put the key plastic down into the front holder

Ok boys and girls, let you in on a secret. There is a key inside the key forb. Flip it over, slide the lever and out pops the key. The spare you demonstrated works on the same principle as the forb.

yes but you cant start it with a key it will only open the door.

Never received one of those keys with the '21 Cannon X. The dealer gave us a 2nd push botton key fob.

We get two Fobs with the Cannon X here in Oz

I’m in Melbourne and just got one fob and a key. Key trick worked a treat when I laid flooring over my fob that fell out my pocket 😢. Thanks mate for this video 🎉

How guys, has anyone had their Cannon long term ? I'm about to place an order for a Cannon X, and I'm still a touch nervous if im being honest 😬

We lost our key and found as soon as you try and unlock door with manual key the alarm goes off. Placed the key as in the cup holder as you have shown but didn’t work kept trying for about 5 mins the alarm going still, it eventually worked. On way home same thing happened alarm going crazy as soon as you unlock door and only after about 5 mins did it recognise key. Any tips on how to not set alarm off would be great while we try and find our main key or get replacement.

put it in the door key hole

surely there must be instructions about this in the vehicles guide manual.

The metal part functions as a remote or Ariel that communicates with the vehicles computer system

Spare key definitely does work to unlock door however as we have found it also sets the alarm off.

What's the Facebook group for gwm

Your main key is still sitting on the passenger seat so of course the car still started….

Ha ha no shit. Principal is still the same.

Such a load of nonsense. I tried this doesn't work. U need to put the metal tip of the key on lock emblem on the cup holder for it to start. I left my original key in the house to make sure. Had the alarm blaring tried it his way did nothing. After a few minutes it's start when I did what I described above.
