Recommended this channel to my friend, good video. Like competition, that's why a BYD Seal is selling at $50k in Australia while it costs $90k in Europe, over $110k in the USA (if available). Because Australia has free trade competition, that's why we can save huge amount of money!

Looks good! I only called GWM Kedron on Friday to see if they had one in to come have a look, they said not for another week or two... I really want to check it out.

I work for a government department, and for the past two years, I have been asking GWM whether they will be importing the larger pick-up truck. I wanted to have them instituted as a fleet vehicle. My criticism is that GWM responded by stating they had no intention of bringing in the larger pick-up or the V6. As a result, our fleet is now running with Ford Rangers. For my work vehicle, I have taken on a novated lease with a Ranger. I would have been very happy to use one of the new GWM vehicles if GWM Australia had been more upfront with government departments seeking to upgrade fleets.

Yes this is due to GWM wanting to comply with the new emission rules. We definitely have been also wanting the V6 models to come to Australia.

Looks good, based on driving reviews it might need a comfort suspension pack. A blackout kit for the front and rear logos and grille would be great… could savage look at logo replacements that are flat instead of 3D and blacked out? Brushed/anodized metal would look much better… Also a roller cover for the tub! Appreciate the review 👍🏼

The payload on this vehicle is VERY poor. Only 760 kg for the diesel. Buy the time you get bar, winch, roof rack, other basic accessories, fill it up with fuel and limited camping equip/luggage you be possibly over your weight limit even before sitting in the vehicle yourself or another passenger. If you want to tow a van (which would be one of the reasons to buy such a vehicle) then add 200 - 250kg to the ball weight and forget it, you would 100% be over the GVM. Even utes such as Ranger, Hilux, Dams, Triton all have payloads of close to or over 1000kg. Even then if you want a tourer to tow a van most people upgrade the GVM to be able to stay legal. Why make such a huge vehicle (physically bigger than a ranger) and have such a small payload. I don't get it. They make a vehicle for doing stuff that you can't actually do. Will there be a GVM upgrade available for this? Also, what is the GCM for the Alpha. I can't seem to find it anywhere. If someone can let me know. I was really keen on this vehicle but with such a light payload, it won't work. Also watched a few reviews already, and they all say the same thing - the 2.4 diesel is very underpowered and would struggle towing a van. Bring in the V6 3.0L twin turbo, add another 250 - 300kg to factory payload and I would be keen in buying one.

@@SavageTechAustralia AWESOME... Hoping sooner rather than later. I'm looking at buying a Ute which I want set up as a tourer and the GVM and GCM is the only thing that's stopping me from buying an Alpha (and maybe the 135kW maybe you guys will have a solution for that too?). BTW what is the GCM for the Alpha 2.4 diesel?

The cannon x is actually much better value for money than the alpha. And I don’t just mean that it’s cheaper. Rather, you get more bang for your buck than with the Alpha. The ride quality is also better in the X.
