If you're from Cali and grew up in the 70s-90s you know there is a common history between cholo and skater-surfer-punk rocker culture. The same clothes (dickies, pendletons, winos, chucks) and some sureno gangs started as punk rock gangs. Gwen grew up in a punk rock band in the 1980s in OC and she grew up around Raza.

I loved Gwen Stefani when she would apply other cultures in her videos so that everyone is like family to her.

It’s silly that some have complained about this video. She grew up in Orange County, of course she’s going to be influenced by the Hispanic culture. This brings back so many memories, I wore this look from middle school through high school. I still kinda do lol

She was 35 or 36 when this was filmed, depending on what part of the year this was filmed. She is currently 46 now. Plus she was younger than 32 when no doubt had their first single. Their first single was released during the 1990s when she was in her 20s.

J Lo doesn't drink much or possibly at all and she has said in many interviews how protective she is about her sleep and tries to get to bed at 10. She really works hard and takes care of herself. Gwen also has been known to work hard at keeping her weight down because she loves fashion and likes to wear it, and also has kept a rigorous workout schedule, at least in the past.

Classic feel good song

I seen so many people give her shit for this but when I was younger and I saw this I was like Dannng she really did that I felt so proud and honored that she was incorporating our culture plus she is from Orange County she said in an interview that she was inspired by the Latina girls in her high school she had this one girl in particular in her class that she used to talk to and this was her whole style aesthetic and that gwen really loved the way she did her makeup nd her whole style that's where that scene came from when she's in the mirror separating her eyelashes with a needle cause she said in class that girl would do her make up and she did the exact same thing to her eyelashes. So yeah she got inspired by the cholas in her high school
