For all of those asking: this is a german movie series called Rubyred. In Germany and France it's available on Netflix but if you wanna watch it internationally you might need to buy the dvds (highly recommend, you won't regret it), but I'm not sure if the second and third movie are dubbed :)

Also for those complaining that Gideon and Gwendolyn being related they are fifth cousins once removed which means the odds of sharing any DNA are less than 5 percent. And Lucy said there was various branches of the de Villiers family there is most likely more distance between them so it really doesn't matter all things considered. I for one love how their relationship evolved. Loved how much Gideon changed because of having Gwendolyn in his life.

The first movie is called Rubinrot or Ruby Red in English. The trilogy series is actually in German as is the films. The first movie was the only one ever translated to English. The book series is by Kerstin Gier. I thought the movies were very well done the actors did a great job. I think I enjoyed the movies more. I have the English translation to the novel's myself. The second movie/ book is called Saphirblau (sapphire blue) the third movie/book this called Smaragdgrün ( emerald green). The last two movies can be found subtitled in English.

@@stuffedpotato9826 I'm from Canada so the only reason I know about this series is because I have a German friend and my relatives are also a German origin. I found them all here on KZread the third one is called Smaragdgrün it's in German the last two didn't come out in English dubbing.

Sooo... for whatever reason, I found this one video like a day or 2 ago. I have no idea why. But I was quite intrigued by something involving angst in multiple eras for an unknown reason. So I actually found the movies with English subtitles and stayed up super late watching them. It was fun... and I needed the distraction from 2020. although I felt the characters and relationships needed a bit more development and the plot was a bit silly. So I decided to find the audiobook to see if those things worked a little better in the books. So anyway. Now you've caused me to spend numerous hours consuming media I'd previously never heard of. And this video is probably still my favorite part out of it all.

Probably a bit too late, but I am pretty sure u can watch all the movies on netflix and Amazon Prime. But that's only so for certain countries (definetly Germany and France, for other countries i don't know). You can buy the DVDs online, would say that's a great investion, i watched them like 20 times (Not kiding here haha). Also the books are fantastic, i love them sooo much!

I would say a happy. In the book defentely but in the movie 🤔. I am not quiet sure because its very different to the book. (But I prefer the book if you will watch/read the story) And sorry for my bad English. I am from Germany and my English is horrible

Look up Rubinrot 2013 hun sub on KZread to watch the first one dub to English and I watched the other two on a website called wlext.is with English subtitles as they never dubbed the last two

It's a movie trilogy from Germany. They are called "Rubinrot" (translation: ruby red), "Saphirblau" (translation: saphire blue) and "Smaragdgrün" (translation: emerald green). The protagonist is called Gwendolyn and discovers a secret her family kept from her. (I am trying to keep this spoiler free😅) While she has to deal with the challenges said secret brings she meets Gideon who already knows what the secret is. During the film's they discover that not everything they've been told is true and that someone dangerous is trying to fullfill a prophecy where he needs Gwendolyn as the key for everything.
