exactly my thoughts. Thats why he was getting to know all the women because he wanted to be sure of his choice since he's in it for the long run. People called him a player but i see him as the most honest guy out of all the cast. Other men who get fixated on a women after just one night with her in paradise are seen by the audience as ideal but really what can you know about the person after just one night together? Those men are only fixated on those women because of her looks.

11 episodes, the best scene was when Hye Seon scolded Gwan Hee, I was mad on her behalf because it seemed like they had discussed everything including after the show, I think the fact that HS had to leave for UK, but he came back started with the Minji issue again 😡. Upon realizing that HS was mad, he looked very scared and in panic, he was even stuttering, when he said he is not confused and not swayed 😂. Nevertheless, I wish them the best, whatever kind of relationship they're in now.

Good observation. I was honestly not aware of all the details. I literally thought he was going to choose Minji even though I believed Hyeseon was the best fit lady for him. Added to that, he only swam and went in the hot tub with Hyeseon. He didn’t do it with any of the other ladies. Thank you for this. 🙏🏽❤️

I hope this are not an Intellillent artificial channel...well my comments: There are two super important details that no one saw, 1: He only shared the Jacuzzi and the pool with HyeSeon on his two dates with her, but he never did it with Minji or Ha-jeong, in fact Minjinse complained about it, which was not the case with her. I had gotten into the jacuzzi...and the commentators didn't realize this. 2. He was always attentive to her, he said that he was worried about everything about her if she ate, if she sat with everyone and didn't see her talk, if she stumbled it was very special, and definitely in the last meeting she cried because he couldn't stand seeing her cry. to HyeSeon... notice that when Minji cries to him, he feels bad, but he doesn't cry with her, he tells her that he's sorry not to cry anymore, but that's all... and finally a little detail that no one saw either, since the last date with HyeSeon on the sky island, he was wearing a black hair tie on his left wrist, which HyeSeon always wore...So he was super excited about it. Hye-Seon from the beginning...and another thing, he is a man used to girls flirting with him, that is nothing new for him, like that. That it didn't work out for Minji no matter how much he fulfilled her whims and had his details with her, that is nothing compared to the special relationship he has with Hye-Seon...Although I don't like Gwanji's personality very much, without a doubt He chose with his heart, he managed to see the girl inside and that says a lot of him....😊

I thought the same. For me, I could feel and sense their chemistry, especially in the pool/hot tub, and the bond they had straightaway was like the universe saying their meant to be. I even thought to myself, "Am I thinking into this too much? It's only an entertainment dating show 😂. The little things he would say and do when it came to her made me believe it was always her regardless of the temptation (sexural attraction between him & minji). His facial expressions were very telling. It gave away so much that all that matters was Hey-seon, but he had to play the game. I also got the impression that the person personality and values are more important than their looks. When he was describing his ideal type to Minji, I was under the impression he was describing Hey-seon and his expression when Minji said it was her was telling, but he just rolled with it and said yes. But I dont agree with how he played with the other girls' heads, especially Minji. Yes, some things she did were disrespectful, but if he didn't show so much interest in her, I dont think she would've behaved like that. I believe she wouldn't even look his way so intensely if he was truthful. I could write more, but let's stop there 😂 Edit: The conversation they had at the very beginning of episode 6 was also a big tell tale sign where their feelings lies, especially his. He's only ever that is open and honest with her since episode 1. I feel like a lot of their scenes weren't aired, especially their scenes after the first bonfire because Hey-seon mentioned he took her to one side to talk and to reasure her about what he said earlier, but this was never shown. Hopefully, NETFLIX will post them.

I appreciate your videos! I tend to agree with a lot of your observations. I watched this in both English dubbing/subbing and Korean. I watch a lot of KDramas so I'm used to reading subtitles. I wanted to make sure it was translated the same and it pretty much was but with some slight differences. I think Gwan Hee was very appreciative of Hyeseon after that first contact they had together where they happened to be sitting next to each other at the Inferno table eating the carrots and canned chicken. She offered to cut up his carrot for him as he struggled to eat it. He couldn't help but feel like she was immediately taking care of him. He noticed that. Aside from her being attractive, this was why he chose her over Gyu Ri and Min Young to head to Paradise. When they were heading to Paradise (although we didn't see them interact in the car right as it happened), Hyeseon was driving and then we saw Gwan Hee leaning over to take the wheel to help her steer. That's totally a boyfriend move. He felt comfortable enough to reach over towards her and enter her space. It already looked like they had been together for years. The moment I think he actually "fell in love" with her was when they first sat down at the dining table in Paradise and she casually took off her little green, shrug sweater that was covering her black strapless dress. He casually glanced over at her and looked down to see that her neckline was suddenly bare so he immediately shifted his eyes back up to where he felt they belonged, turned his head and then he simultaneously made a swallowing gesture while cracking the tiniest, (almost pubescent like) type of grin on his face as if he had seen something that he shouldn't have. LOL! It wasn't in an overly sexual way that he looked at her, it was more-so that he noticed how beautiful and feminine she was and he was so shy and embarrassed for staring. It was endearing. They exchanged some cute and light hearted banter while they were eating and the conversation seemed to flow steadily without much effort from either one of them. You could tell that he could see himself in a relationship with her. And vice versa. She was definitely attracted to him. I think he found her educational background and current working status, very intriguing. She wasn't simply a model or beauty pageant girl. No offense to them. He saw that Hyeseon had both beauty AND brains. I also think he found it extremely refreshing that Hyeseon genuinely had NO CLUE who he was. Side note: there was a story on the internet where it was seemingly uncovered that Ha Jeong previously liked some of Gwan Hee's basketball stats. And when it came to Minji, somehow she immediately guessed that of all occupations, he was a basketball player. Hmmmm. He really took note of Hyeseon as she climbed into the pool in her blue bathing suit. They enjoyed each other's company as they playfully splashed around and had fun. They later climbed into the outdoor hot tub and she gently splashed the warm water on him as he had caught a bit of a chill from the pool. The hosts said it was a bold move to do that. Once again she was looking out for him. I do think that he pretty much decided that "this girl in front of him" was everything he wanted and although he knew it, he still had to finish playing the game. They both discussed making the rounds and then coming back to meet up with each other in the end just so that (as Hyeseon described) it would mean that much more when they came together after eliminating the others. I suspect they discussed their mutual love of the colour green...lol As the fun and games were unfolding, I don't think that Gwan Hee actually anticipated that he might have some competition (IE: Won Ik going to Paradise with Hyeseon). They discussed taking others but Gwan Hee probably thought she wasn't serious. Hyeseon just wanted to eliminate the smallest of possibilities on her own so she wanted to (at least) take someone else other than Gwan Hee to make sure. She discovered that she and Won Ik shared nothing but a great meal. No chemistry whatsoever. Also, what neither of them expected was that they'd have Habin and Min Kyu almost constantly AND purposely fill Gwan Hee with doubts about where Hyeseon's heart lay. How would they know? Vibey vibes? What is that, Min Kyu? Thankfully Gwan Hee confronted Hyeseon several times about what they told him. She set him straight. If he didn't care about Hyeseon, he would have just cut her loose and went onto the next gal. He also didn't seem to want to know too much if anything about the other women and that's because he set his sights on Hyeseon. Gotta keep playing the game though. He constantly looked around for Hyeseon OR asked about her. She was always in the back of his mind no matter what he was doing. He rushed over to her after she fell in the Hat & Tail competition so he could clear the debris out of her hair. He didn't help anyone else out after they fell. He was however, still jealous that she chose to take Won Ik to Paradise so on the one hand, he chose Minji to go to Paradise to give her a dose of her own medicine and yet when he came back to Inferno, he was seeking info about where she was or who she talked to. If he didn't care about Hyeseon, he wouldn't have been so perplexed about her. Hyseseon picked him again to go for the last Paradise date. Once again they seemed to exchange some very meaningful conversations and when they sat there that night, he touched her forehead with his fingers as if to gently scold her to let her know to be careful and in the Korean dubbed version with English subtitles it said "No more falling down, okay?" but in the English dubbed and English subtitled version it translated to, "No more hiding from me, okay?" He sure looked like he wanted to kiss her after that. For breakfast the next day he wanted to commemorate their time together and wished he had his phone to take a picture of them together. He didn't appear to do that with anyone else. Another tell tale sign of commitment. When he and Hyeseon were sitting at the picnic table in Inferno (Gwan Hee had previously gone with Minji to Paradise before his last date with Hyeseon) she was annoyed that he seemed to be going back and forth in conversation with her on his thoughts about who and what he wanted and Hyeseon flat out told him to just pick Minji IF he was THAT conflicted, and it's at this point when it was where he suddenly had that first realization that she might actually NOT choose him in the end. She told him previously that she was playing hard to get and that she admitted that she did make a mistake going with Won Ik to Paradise. She kept assuring him that nobody else caught her eye and if she didn't get chosen by the one she wanted (him), she would rather be alone then pick someone she didn't like. At the campfire she sat quietly observing Minji sitting next to Gwan Hee. After being asked by someone if she could go back and change something, IS there a day she would like to go back to BUT not wanting to give Gwan Hee the satisfaction, she simply said, "Day 1". Her answer shocked Gwan Hee. He took it to mean that she wished that she had chosen someone else to go to Paradise with. Then the second question that was asked to her was, DID any guy there make her heart flutter at any time? You could see Gwan Hee perk up and smirk while waiting for her to answer with HIS NAME because he knew she didn't have a romantic date with Won Ik and HE was the only other guy she was interested in. When Hyeseon said that none of the men made her heart flutter, he looked so hurt and upset and that's when he finally realized how much he unintentionally hurt her, by "playing the game". That last talk of theirs in that little room was basically him wanting to apologize to her for hurting her so much and to tell her how special she was, how much he cared for her AND what she really meant to him. Game aside, for his sake he really needed to have the opportunity to say everything he wanted to say to her BEFORE the finale where he would choose his partner. It was still in the back of his mind that he might not get the chance to say what he needed to say because he knew he took the game too far at her expense. At least that's my take on it. 🏀🥕❤

He said goodluck to Minji means he saw her for what she was. He knew that type, he is used to that. Hyeseon is the type he is looking for when he joined SI. He said it at the start. He may have said Minji was his ideal type but he said to Hyeseon, she has the closest personality he was looking for when he chose her on the first day.

This is my hot take: That Gwanhee is one of the only male contestants there who is actually looking for a serious relationship with the intention of marriage. People calling gwanhee a playboy have it all wrong and are incredibly myopic. The contestants have just met and at most spend one or two weeks together so you can't really get to know as much about another person there as real dating. Its basically no better than chatting online in a dating app, you really only see the surface version. And because gwanhee is actually looking for a wife and ltr hes going to try and get to know all the women hes physically attracted too first to see if any of them have what he is really looking for. I would say the fact that he is sincerely trying to get to know all the women, and are honest with the girls about how he wants to talk to every one first before he decides actually makes him the best relationship material out of all the men. The other men committing to one women, after just one night in paradise with her, means that they only like that woman for her looks because how much can you really get to know a person enough to commit after just one night?

Best analytical video I have seen out of all the countless videos about the carrot/mango couple out there! His expression when she took off her little green cardigan on their first date at Paradise was totally endearing, sweet and revealing of his feelings for her right from the beginning. The other strong tell-tale sign was the way he sat like a nervous little boy with his legs close together at 18:30 of the video. Notice also how he tends to look nervous by gulping when he’s talking to HS. With other women, he is more frivolous and flippant thus indicating a couldn’t-care-less attitude. With HS, he executed his conversations with care and nervousness because he cares too much about how HS thinks of him.

I think Gwanhee was worried about his image. He didn't want to leave single. "If Boy" definitely grew on me 😂 I do believe he was trying to be sure because he's thinking about marriage. He was just selfish with the way he went about it but he noticed once she had that conversation with him and it was nice to see him let his guard down. Also, sorry to say but I think Jinseok lost interest even before the show ended and either wanted to give it a try or didn't want to embarrass her. I feel like they've already broken up or they won't last.

I'd also want to highlight that In their first-ever interaction, Gwan Hee couldn't look at her in the eyes and offered her his chiken meaning he'd have to eat the raw carrot and didn't mind. He was already attracted from their first interaction to which Hye Seon thought he was reliable, manly yet cute. For me he really confirmed his feeling toward HS after his date with HJ. After I rewatched the show, I also can said that how HS playing the card was the reason why GH feel confused. He lean towards HS more, but just scared if HS didnt really into him. Even though HS keep saying that she also like GH, but the way she act towards GH was not so convincing.

Some of these opinion makes sense but some I doubt so. For example, hyeseon cried because farewells (tho not truly a final farewell, but it is for this environment made solely for interacting with each other) are bittersweet. Gwanhee cried too because of emotional connection and empathy. And while it may be strategic to freely date on the show for entertainment, it did feel like he was genuinely in deep thought of who to choose as he walked the beach. I think it’s a case of, deep down in your heart you already have a choice but you are still undecided/contemplating. It’s a mental struggle as you try to make a decision you do not regret. As gwanhee said, he thought that if he chose minji he would not be able to get hyeseon off his mind (Aka more regret).

I knew Gwanhee would choose hyeseon when he came back from paradise with minji. That helo ride said it all telling minji to not talk to him. Also when he said that hyeseon is the type of a woman for marriage. He was laughed at by the guys, but he knows that he is getting older. At the camp fire when he cried, he showed how much he deeply cared for her after she expressed her thoughts about everything that had happened.

With HJ he told her gave it to her straight w/o needing to sugar coat bcoz he knew she could take it. With MJ he needed to sugar coat everything to lessen the hurt. You cold tell he was turned off my MJs actions on the helicopter ride. I say this bcoz he respected all 3 of them enough to the point that whe. Also, he always set HS and MJ with other but never did it to HS. Whe. HS told him to choose MJ he knew then he was losing her and confirmed it all at the bonfire when she HS said what she said. When HS cried, HJ looked and GW and HJ knew the connection was too strong. MJs ego got the best of her...she was too caught up with her ego being stroked that she failed to read the signs

Some GH fans said that his ex is not only so pretty like actress but also mature n not clingy type in public (since she is flight attendance). So i think even GH ideal type is minji, but he likes mature women more, which is hyeseon type, even her beauty not like standart korean man favorite.
