Just played this build and it's actually super fun, lots of people are struggling as well since they expect you to play the usual soulbeast builds.

Good fun build. Was wracking up kills today with this. I wish the untamed / tamed icon was like red or green instead of two similar icons both green. I get confused by what mode I’m in sometimes but I’m sure it’ll come as second nature the more I play it.

@Damien Vryce couldnt agree more. looks like the pet is receiving heavy damage over time by poison. and then theres that irritating green mist projectile block on the pet when previously anet has been trying to improve visibilty and set boundary markers on the ground for area of effect. untamed just dont feel right

Interesting. So it's not one-trick burst like a SicEm Soulbeast, and it doesn't seem to have huge piano combos like hammer Untamed. I already like that. P. S. Any other pets you could advise for the build? Core, preferably

Nice Build. I've been trying to figure out a build I enjoy over Soulbeast, or at least similar enjoyment. I'm doing something similar but using Greatsword because it's Ambush after unleash removes 4 Boons.

Nice build, fun to play, high damage, sturdier than expected. One can use more the bleed stacks from the bristleback, they can be applied on the pet unleashed special attacks.

This looks great. I love ranger but was sad untamed was hammer focus. I wonder how this build dps is in pve or other parts of the game.

Are none of the 4 new pets viable in pvp?

i was playing with siege turtle a bit, the bubble seemed good, but was more for a duelist playstyle, tiger and phoenix were ok but not better than others and the rot wallow was lackluster

Two things i would love to see on untamed autocast for pet skills and 2handed perk getting hammer added. Aside from given i never liked Soul Beast untamed was a good option for me.

Ranger is in a good place sure, but is this better than soulbeast?

I dont think anything will ever beat Soul Beast but atleast we who disliked SB have options.

I'm not seeing a whole lot of damage between soulbeat and untamed. In fact, I've changed over to soulbeast using jacaranda and something bleedy. The bam bam just isn't that impressive to promise myself to.

Do you use a gaming mouse? I've been playing pvp in mmo's for a long time, with great keybindings (imo) but I still struggle to play/target as effectively as you... :(

i target with my mouse and with tab, so its not too many keybinds

Do you have a WvW ranger build for a starter? I don’t have all 3 of the new elite specs yet .

Hey Vallun! How good is the Nature Magic traitline for pvp and wvw? I never see anybody take it in those game modes.

Untamed is a disappointment. Soulbeast seems stronger and so does the core ranger.
