Don't forget about that Sonic cutscene where Sonic was chasing Robotnik and they were both running the same speed. Either Robin and Cyborg can run as fast as Sonic or Sonic is running at normal speeds.

@Chicken I actually think that Sonic got really tired when he beat his robot double , then when Robotnik entered his Death Egg Robot the only way Sonic could beat Robotnik in his mech was to use the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic .
