1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp glove
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup butter flavored shortening
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar

Very detailed instructions and great tips for the best pastry. I just love these Guyanese tarts for which you guys are famous. I always looked forward to this treat whenever we had Potluck and my Guyanese coworker brought them. Just a small suggestion “Try adding Pine Extract instead to further enhance the filling flavour”. 🙏 for sharing and being the best Teacher.🌹🌹 🌹 . tast of your filling.

BTW I’ll be trying this recipe as pineapples are in full season now. I’ll make them smaller to control my indulgence 😂. Do have the best week💕
I love love pinetart.. No gt party is complete without 1 of the snacks. Cheese-roll is my weakness. Thanks Candy for showin how u make urs. I cut corners & use jar jam😊.

That's so true pinetart, Cheese roll and patties. I used the jar jam once it didn't compare to the freshly made jam but it's a good substitute for when you don't have the time. Thank so much for stopping by and have a great monday 😊

Are you able to freeze the pinetarts unbaked and then bake them later. Wondering how well it turns out when baking from frozen. Thank you.
