Guy didn’t really answer any of the questions directly, but went off on tangents that were very interesting to hear him chat about. Things he was clearly interested in talking about. I appreciate how the interviewer did not try to wrangle the conversation back to what he specifically asked but let Guy carry on. Was an interesting watch.

His belief of democracy capable of self-correcting is like blind men touching elephant. India, philippine and more are all democracy which can not self correct. Ukraine democracy with hatred against Russian speaking population led to conflict. Democratic politicians need hatred to get votes. Guy Spiers is so naive. But on human capable of evil is true, based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs. A starving man does not give a shit to the idea of cannibalism.

A very safe investor, risk overse, value investing is about protecting your 'principle ' , that's right but a little to caucios for me! But I get his caution, I'm sure his returns will match the index fund's or slightly better in bad times 👍

Possibly Reysas. M. Pabrai has been telling him about Reysas for some time now.

He should be a politician. Lots of talk nothing said. I have watched and regretted a number of interviews with this self promoting fraud… why did I click on this one?!

He talks about anything and everything except investment. In the real world he does nothing and keep missing one opportunity after another and he gets credit from his fanboys for doing nothing. His results as mediocre as his investment process. Almost identical to S&P before fees. What a waste ! He should liquidate his fund !

Buy stock, and then wait for the CCP to crack down on the company you bought stock in, then learn your lesson and invest in safer country.

He sounds smart and everything he says is just noise. Apple is about pictures and Microsoft about words. So what? Sounds smart and he thinks it’s an insight. It’s just plain noise. From 2014 to now both Microsoft and Apple are roughly 8x. And his take on China. Just laughable, but hey he throws in a Ming dynasty sentence.

It must be so sad to know that the basic reason this channel is alive is the greed of viewers. I am afraid the "good investing advice" provided does not compare well with indices returns. And that everything is artificially maintained, in order to preserve the management fees of a few overprivileged PMs, who only deliver narratives at very high prices. Simple plain theater is healthier.
