the BBC have forced him to make this story up. All that shtick about Mowbray dropping his pen didn't happen. They can't stand each other in real life. At its worst Mark Lawrenson (or "Mr Lawrenson" as he prefers to be known) threw several hotel bibles onto the floor and made Guy Mowbray pick them all up in size order, which was particularly distressing for Mowbray as they were all the same size. Also Mr Lawrenson calls Mowbray "Pork Pie", which is a pun of sorts playing off the pork pie manufacturer "Melton Mowbray". There's also strong rumours that before the England v Germany game in Bloemfontein, Mr Lawrenson, 52, allegedly rubbed his bristly face up and down Mowbray's back for "what felt like an eternity", giving Mowbray an uncomfortable rash. Mowbray was quoted at the time as saying "it felt like insect hair".

The only decent thing lawrenson has said is why everybody forgets about the Heysel disaster ,I really admired him for that .

What a Legend. I'll never *ever* forget that ''AgUerrRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO(H)'' Best one out there. Everyone rating Tyler, his seemed pretty forced in the end and even bordering annoying to me. Guy's was just pure explosive passion, a real life-changing event like that always needs a simple but good belting scream and Guy more than delivered! 👌👌👌

Mowbray wasn't commentating on that game live though, whereas Tyler was. Mowbray probably heard Tyler say it, knew it would become a famous sound clip, so recorded his own version.
