    Because its very harmful for that fish to be lifted out of the water. In the state of Florida it’s illegal. They probably lifted it to take pictures and didn’t want to get in trouble.

    It is illegal in Florida to beach Tarpon and Goliath groupers over a certain size. Good catch, but it just looked like the dude was trying to get it on the beach. When fishing in Florida, the fish's health and well being comes first. Especially when it is a regulated species.

    When I was a kid, my neighbor, Ron Gaskill caught a 150 lb tarpon from the E. P. Green Bridge in Palmetto, Florida. At the time it was the record for a catch from the land.

    Yes sometimes you'll find Predators lurking in Beach Shores because they know that's where the small fish technically go manipulated by the tides and they're not strong enough to fight it so the fish sort of get stuck in this little radius outside of it and that's where Predators like to swoop in and get their fish nice

    Harmless. Beautiful, large silver scales. I was once in a grotto with 4 swimming above and sunlight reflected off their scales creating a disco effect.

    Adult Tarpon are not supposed to be lifted out of the water. They can be so long and heavy that their body weight without water to remain buoyant can damage internal organs.
