That's what this song is about. I agree I expected a heavy metal, rock like song but I actually prefer this since it's basically about guts

To be honest, I think Guts hates war but it's the only thing he's good at so he fights.

Berserk is one of my all-time favourite stories, after the sad passing of the author I'm unsure if the story will ever be finished, seeing this song has reminded me to have hope as people still make new things for it.

While the idea of a story not reaching its conclusion can be disheartening, sometimes it is best such cliffhangers and such remain. To allow us to imagine the possibilities in our own way. In the sense, and hope that should the story continue, and perhaps even reach its conclusion, it is not done in a way that harms what we have come to love. At least that is how I try to look at such things given some stories I have cherished went on after some time I thought it was over, only to end in disappointment. Tricky thing is though, can never know which way it will go, unless the risk is taken.

I have put reading berserk on hold after about 180 chapters just to see what's going to happen. If it doesn't end up getting finished I'll have to make the decision of staying where I'm at which is a decent "ending" or read it all and be in the cuff with everyone else

This song catches Guts' turmoil, pain and struggles perfectly. Not a heavy metal song that can't hit that emotional damage inside. (even if the heavy metal songs are good in there own rights) it all so perfectly done I've had it on loop for the last two days now. I'm hooked

beast in black made an metal album named Berserk, which half of is based on berserk. and it rocks. also in their 2nd album made another 2 songs 'bout it. pretty good as well. My favorites are The fifth Angel, 'bout Griffith and Crazy, Mad, Insane

LOVE THIS, the texture in your voice was incredible and the tone of that lead guitar 😭

This song fits Guts to every extent A man who got beaten and broken down by the most evil bits of the world, every atrocity the world had they threw at Guts. But he still gets up, he gets up to fight again and won't back down.. even despite the fact that the price to get back up, was to throw away everything he had mentally and emotionally... everything except his rage The pressure hit hard and caved in on him a bit, but he powers through in the end.

Solid as always Divide, Miura would be proud. May he rest well…

This has a different feeling from many of Divide's songs, not sure what it is but it's pretty freaking good.

Needless to say this was great. When you think "Berserk" you would think of songs for it being metal (Granted some of the music IN the anime was metal, like "My Brother the Dragonslayer"), but this has the feel of what Guts actually had to go through, like instead of being something you march in to battle with it's something you sit down and have the feels for.

This song is giving me a reason to continue waking up asmist court battles, admit depression and just self loathing...this song is giving me words of encouragement...thank you..even if unintentionally

The fact that you captured the despair of "gone beyond repair" and at the same time the tenacity and spite of "I won't stop fighting" is perfect. The duality of guts' world is a tragic yet beautiful and powerful story and you have captured it with your own sound. It's sad yet tenacious. Master piece. You deserve a platinum album for this work and many others.

I was honestly expecting the heavy metal i grown use to from the channel but this just shows how human Guts truly is because no matter how you look at him he is in constant pain as a character he can't trust anyone anymore because of his past. I've been meaning to start the Berserk series for some time but it looked kind of a daunting hassle with +300 chapters. I decided to start reading it after discovering and listening this song last week. Finished the series couple of days ago, I used this song as a background from time to time while reading. Really "can't describe the series better" is all I have to say about the song. Throughout the journey each line of the song gained far deeper meaning as the story progressed. Thank you for producing such a brilliant piece of art.

I just started Berserk a few days ago (I’m only just getting past the Golden Age arc, please nobody spoil anything) and this song is quickly becoming one of my favorites of all time. The lyrics hit so hard, and the guitar really does add a feeling of just a little bit of hope shining through the dark. 12/10, an absolute Beast of a song. And the vid is just as good! The flashes of the 100 Man Battle were really well done, and the transition between Guts and Griffith’s first and last duels? Phenomal, in every way. I’ve watched this probably a hundred times now, and I’ll be watching it a hundred more. Absolutely stunning, man.

Out of any anime character I respect,it’s Guts,not only he has the one of the darkest backstories in anime,but this man have fought since he was a kid,killed a bunch of demons and got betrayed by his best friend and watched him rape the women he loved,and yet haven’t got the urge of giving up after all that pain he went through.What a fucking trooper.

That was some of the most beautiful vocal's i've heard and felt in a very long time. Thank you very much! This song really resonated with me

Two lines really stand out considering the final page of Berserk: "Can you see what's really haunting you... why you feel so alone." Note the "you". I think this might be directed at Griffith, as we see he is the Moonlight Child, which is the child of Guts and Casca possessed by Griffith. The final chapter shows The Moonlight Child transforming back into Griffith and we see Griffith, tears in his eyes, and he looks at Guts, talking about his sense of longing. I like to think that deep down, Griffith wishes he could go back and change things, but cannot, leaving him trapped in a unique hell of his own making. He got what he thought he wanted by destroying what he actually desired.
