I see and hear all the details in any and everything I am impressed with. I can not help it if I worry about the dental health of one of my most admired guitarist.

I love music, and have been playing bass, keys, and to a lesser degree guitar. I've played in bands for the last 28 years on bass as well as keyboards.I WISH I would have had someone in my immediate family who would have shown some support. Instead I had a father who would put me down every time he found me playing. This was back even when I finally begged my mom to buy me some strings and a chord for my guitar. He would tell me that I should be doing something else, like hoeing the garden, mowing the lawn, etc. I know it helped to shape my perspective about playing, subconsciously feeling a bit guilty and spiritually a bit down because of it. On top of that, I found out when my mother married him when I was 4 months shy of my 3rd birthday, he adopted me and my sister, who was 2 years older. She knew she was adopted, but everyone but me knew that I was, and I didn't find out till my 18th birthday by a sheer misstep by my cousin who asked me if I heard anything from my real dad. It's bothered me all these years, I just turned 52, but in a way it helped to fuel my passion for playing. I just wish it wasn't marred by my experiences as a child. The reason I put this out there, is because all the great musicians give credit to their mother and/or father for their encouragement, and it just saddens me that I don't have that connection to my past. It didn't stop me from playing, but I believe it killed my desire to embrace musicianship fully, without some sense of guilt, like it's a fruitless endeavor.
Guthrie plays the way he speaks.

He always has a new way to explain things that I've heard been repeated a hundred times. Always refreshing to hear him talk.
I was lucky to get a lesson from Guthrie and you can only love the guy even more when you meet him in person. He is even scarier up close. He is just...that good! End of story
This Man plays with his heart more than his hands.... One of thé Best guitar player i have ever Heard the Last 10 years. Awesome Guy and teacher....
I went to see Hans Zimmer live in Liverpool. Guthrie was the guitarist that night and he was amazing. Absolutely owned the stage. There was a whole piece of music just for the electric guitar.
As much as I love Guthrie, he desperately needs to release some new material. I think we've all heard Sevens at least a thousand times by now, and it's great, but it's time for something different.

Musicians of his category tend to be perfectionists. Eric Johnson once took 8 years between albums, so long that Capitol records canned him. But his next album Venus Isle is a masterpiece I think

esse cara é absurdamente bom . não consigo encontrar outro guitarrista a altura dentro deste estilo .
Been follwing Guthrie´s work and playing for 10 years now, his playing just gets better and better.
Holy buckets, check out the bend at 5:14. If he goes another half step, the string slides off the top of the fret!!!

I was just making an observation so thanks for the insult. You must be a real nice guy. I the olden days when a guy like you got punched in the mouth, the people who saw it gave each other high fives. How in the world can you think an insult would be appropriate in a thread like this. You are insane.

Thanks for the video. Nice job with the edit!
What a great tone! The man one of my faves
Man! I love this guy. So gracious, So smart. So talented.
so much musicality from a shredder ..... beautiful stuff
Very nice to meet your style. Thank you.
Such a beautiful guitar, that wooden texture oh my
Such a nice person, such a great player!
You are so great! Great time with Hans Zimmer. Very exciting. The guitar is just like an extension of your arm, that works miracles. 😵🤘💗
IT boggles my mind just how good GG is not just from a mechanics standpoint but just the musical brain he has.
One of the best guitarists of our generation for sure
Guthrie is sooo amazing

I totally agree ! Though he is fast as hell, he still makes every note stand out as soft or as dynamic as it needs to be. Most can not play with that speed and still have such dynamic accuracy .

Whatever style he plays, from Jazz, to metal, to blues,he absolutley nails the approch. There are not to many players out there who are as versitile as he is. Andy Timmons is versitile, he can chicken pick country and play shred metal, to soulful blues, but Guthrie has an edge on him

2:14 wrong note, he played the M3 above the tonic, when it should have been the m3.
Very nice video
Just once in my life, i’d love to see him in person.
Thank god you couldn't convince Hans that he didn't need any guitarist! Can't wait to see you at the Microsoft Theater, Guthrie.
I'm glad he seems happy.
Guthrie is so unique as a guitarist, no one sounds like him
He is seriously, freakishly, talented.
This has to be the nicest man in the business.
Amazing my idol
nothing more than extreme self-indulgence,
perfect guitarist..
Cool dude
Guthrie Bless us !
At about the 4 minute mark he sounds like a mashup of Vai and Lifeson....yet like himself too. Brilliant.
Guthrie is the person I want to be in life, in character disposition as well as musical ability.

Guthrie Govan might be the most genuine human being
hey dude i play a nine string tuned the same and i use baritone tunings and double drops where would i apply this and i do double tap arpegios as well
Fantastica la maglietta con 'la linea' di Cavandoli e mi fa piacere che un inglese la conosca!
Am i the only one who has re-watched the bend he does at 3.58 like 900 times?
Guthrie, and Vai - worlds, of which we mere humans shall never tread... As an aside, can i just add what an incredibly cool guy GG is... \m/ (:o)
OMG🎉
Anyone knows where to get a t-shirt like that?
Name guitar
How about another solo album? That would be great!

I would buy a Guthrie Govan model guitar, but for the fact it would take me 100 years to learn half his chops to play on it !
