It's time to stop dictating who gets a job by their skin color.
I know nobody wants to hear this. But a guy I work with was told he is on hold for a promotion until there's a more diverse pool of candidates. This is unreal!!
I remember as a teen back in the 90s hearing something about affirmative action and even then asking myself "why would I want to be given something just because I'm Black?" I have always worked hard for everything I have, based on my merits, and I'm teaching my children the same.
I remember writing an essay before entering WVU in 1983.
Loved Kat's point about skin color and gender being the LEAST relevant in determining WHO someone is
" The hole woke thing , we are all sick of it " Bruce !!!
Affirmitive action was never needed.
How does Gutfeld get to say what he wants??? I luv it.
I still remember applying to the University of Michigan (my Alma Mater) and my jaw literally dropped when I saw how my high ACT score counted for exactly the same amount of points as simply checking the box for "black".
Very well said Tyrus!
The problem you get with lowering academic standards is the amount of sub-standard politicians and the world has plenty of them.
Its really just this simple, either we are a citizenry equal before the law or we are not. We must remove the concept of the “protected class” - and everything that stems from that concept from affirmative action to hate crime/speech - from our body of laws.
If they were being honest they'd admit they are really scared that their character and their merit will have them in the poor house
I have an Asian friend who hasn't been able to get into the best schools because his test scores are higher than everyone but other Asians. He's going to second tier school because of this race. Sad. I understand why they did this decades ago, but even then, it violates the 14th amendment.
Thank you Tyrus for your statement. You were able to beautifully capture our thoughts and sentiments.
Is anybody else sick of getting 'Hey'd by Sean Hannity at the end of these?
The US needs to stop making fun of smart people and good family role models.
Down with Affirmative Action.
Gutfeld tackles the issue head on. Finally!
They said, let's put a woman of color in as vice president. We are now seeing how that works out in real life.
