    Author of the plugin here. Thank you Brendan for the detailed walk-through!! Super informative. Using conditional has one drawback, which is that you can't retain the content when you switch to another condition. I'm working on something to retain the data while you switch around conditionals!!

    hey Ryan thanks for stopping by. good work to your team so far. looking forward to see what you guys cook up. i'd assume using conditions to say, add a feature section with 3 col grid vs 4, might be the old way of doing it, and i'm standing by for some sort of clonable/repeater type functionality for deleting content from the template while in gutenberg, for e.g.

    Good stuff - just to say that if you set the location for your field group to 'Post' (rather than Post type), you can attach your fields to a particular template or templates (your GutenBricks ones) rather than ALL Bricks templates - you probably wouldn't want those fields appearing on your regular Bricks templates like header, footer, single, archive etc. (at least you can in ACF, presume it is the same for MB). You can get very granular with it - different fields for each GutenBricks template if you need.

    Thanks for the info! i thought that too (and i think it worked that way a few RC releases ago?), but then i didn't get anything to render when i had post/pages selected as location. i probably didn't do it thoroughly enough. will try that again as you raise a good point!

    This looks so cool - be able to use bricks layouts like that - especially frames layout! - this should be in native bricks

    This was done very well. I would like to explore the posibilities of building a dynamic landingpage in Bricks and also making it editable and customizable for the client in Gutenberg. This has definately giving me alot of ideas

    thanks for your kind words, Eduware. definitely takes client editing to the next level! you can of course save entire page as templates, or do a more modular approach section-by-section (which is what i'll do - I think, but need to poll more clients first)

    @@BrendanOConnellWP I have a client where this would be perfect as they are a marketing agency and like to build landingpages. By providing ready made sections they can go all out.

    Hello, nice work. You have a content with a text writting on 2 columns ! How it is possible ?

  • @BrendanOConnellWP

    i used a layout from Frames, very handy for letting clients use something like 2 col content! The link to the frame is here: bricks.getframes.io/template/content-section-golf/ it uses css columns. not available in the Bricks builder UI (unless you use advanced themer!). CSS is this your-text{ column-count: 2; column-width: 30ch; column-gap: var(--grid-gap); }

    Would this also work by creating a class for each field with the dynamic values and then simply applying the classes on future blocks?

  • @jdy98p

    @jdy98p

    Just a note that creating a class to apply each flavor of settings works *great*. You'll still need to set conditions for each layout option, though.

    yes i think that would work fine. also, Ryan, creator of Gutenbricks, recently released a short video showcasing a "Class Injector" as well, so i think this will be covered from multiple angles
