My mum ran out asking for the package and was told they didn't even have it with them. They literally left it at the post office on purpose.

I just got an email from amazon letting me know that the package I ordered had been returned to the seller because it had been “damaged” and then I get another email saying they delivered it to the wrong Delivery center. A few weeks ago I got my college diploma in the mail, in an envelope that says “do not bend”. They folded it in half to stuff it in our mail box. Back in December I ordered a poster and they managed to fold that one too. THEY FOLDED THE TUBE THE POSTER CAME IN. WHY?

@@dustinsaunders314 Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006 (PAEA). Before you take this act into account, which prefunds pensions for postal workers for the next 75 years.. (which means about half of these postal workers haven't been born yet), the USPS posted a 3 billion dollar profit. Then this act kicks in, taking 5 billion dollars away, just like it does every year... hence the 2 billion dollar loss. So the USPS is very profitable.. until Congress screws them.
Luckily I haven't had issues with the Royal Mail... But ARGOS!! ARGOS!! amount of times they deliver it next door just because they can't be arsed to walk a few steps further from their van.
Ironically USPS is the only one who doesn't duck things up in my area
Attention to detail is AWESOME! The calendar was actually for 4 days later and the guy was sitting on Gus’s package
I have a buddy who started working part time at the post office. The horror stories of incompetence were jaw dropping. I guess there is a clause that if delivering the mail presents a 'danger' to the carrier you don't have to do it. So carriers would look at a little bit of ice in driveways and just keep moving.
Well this hasn’t aged well.
The escalation of the guy drawing with markers was amazing
I wonder how relevant this is now
Mad Gus is like a Violent Tornado. It's a fantastic and beautiful sight to see, but only if viewed from a distance of 2 miles.
I actually feel his pain, they leave fragile packages in my ditch in front of my house and I opened it, there goes a $200 vase I ordered as a gift. They didn’t even cover it...
I love videos like this, just Gus explaining how much he hates a service for whatever reason. It's always immensely relatable. :p

I also had an issue with the USPS around Christmas... My Inner Gus didn't give the best review 😤 Funny thing, this issue involved shirts ordered from Rooster Teeth. Lol.
Makes Australia Post sound like perfection.
Omg I'm dying. The post master general at the end🤣
I know exactly how Gus feels. I got a job a little while ago, so this was my first experience ever really getting packages en-masse since I finally have money to buy things. Half the time it's delivered to the wrong address if the right guy isn't there. I literally have different mail carriers, like 3 different ones all driving the USPS truck on different days, and the one guy is like "Yeah, when it's not me the packages don't really get delivered right." I'm just shaking my head, he literally came back from his route, tracked down where my package was and had the person give it back to me. That guy is awesome, but everyone else? Sometimes I just do not receive things and it gets completely lost never to be seen again. I'm getting sick of it. I don't want to deal with people like that honestly. I completely loath the postal service.
This is one of my new favorites. This rant is gold

Hopefully they cleared house - as you've seen from other comments, a lot of those working with the USPS take pride in what we do.
I always check any important packages if at any point in time they say they've arrived at certain post office centers,I just talk to customer service and have them send another through UPS instead. There's 3 or 4 post office centers that if your package or mail get there, they will never be seen again.
Yes. They won’t stop sending me the mail of the previous THREE residents of my apartment after talking to them TWICE about it in a month about it.
Boy, this rant is relatable (and hilarious). I've been pretty fortunate in dealing with the PO but my god have friends and family not had the same luck. Lost packages, BS shipping rates (sure, pay as much for s/h as you did to BUY THE THING YOU'RE SHIPPING). "Expedited shipping" getting there the same time as normal mail. Ugh.
Honestly my local post office is pretty awesome. I've never had a package lost with them.

That was the one of the best animated adventures in a while.
This is my favourite Gus.
I love Gus and his animated adventures, who else?
I live in an apartment complex, and there’s a giant mailbox with compartments for each apartment in the nearby 4-5 buildings. On the bottom, there are are significantly larger compartments for packages, which almost anything normally bought will fit in. They wait until the evening to deliver mail, then drop it off at the rental office in a back room. Management HATES this, and has actively stated they do not allow it but that room doesn’t have any means of locking. When confronted about why they don’t actually use the PRE BUILD MAIL STRUCTURES, the local branch just said it added too much time to the delivery schedules.
I love that everyone's arms are animated entirely at the sleeve of his shirt

The first one eventually showed up the following March, when I had absolutely no need for it. Six months for a box to get from the amazon warehouse to my house. Stellar job by USPS.

Where do you live may I ask? I don't have mail issues in Ottawa and Mississauga/Toronto. I am aware of the video evidence issue though but I thought it had something to do with cameras having low quality or something (still dumb)?
First off, the usps is "supposed" self sufficient, which means it does not operate on taxe money. The two main reasons why the US Postal Service loses billions of dollars yearly is because, 1. Peope are sending less mail than perviously, 2. Because pensions are getting exponentially higher. Now I may be biased, because my father works for the post office, but the USPS employs over 600,000 Americans. Also its way cheaper to ship with usps compared to Amazon or FederalExpress
My most favourite animated series
sometimes I'll have some package mixups with a neighboring building due to a difference of an 8 or a 3 in address, so I usually go there to see if my "delivered" package was mixed up. Ended up not being mixed up there, but I was sent a "confirmation of delivery" pic that was just a box on a doormat, so I ended up wandering my complex looking for the right doormat and eventually found it, with not only far from the right building number but not even the right house letter.
USPS is not tax funded. Just want to point that out, because not many people understand that.

Yeah, it's government-run (I think), but it's a fully functioning business. No tax dollars involved.

Not an issue where I live. I live in Canada. Canadian postal services often make you sign for larger packages as proof they delivered it to the right house. And if you do miss it, they will leave a sticky pad with the package information on it, stuck to your door, and store the package at your local post office so you can pick it up.
I relate to this way too much
USPS is real important tho. private delivery companies can upcharge like crazy

The post office is so different depending on location. Being in the midwest everything is automated to make it "cheaper" and "less error prone" to which I get the worst package services ever. Nothing is automated back at my parent's house on the west coast and we always get our packages.

USPS lost the Impact Props Master Chief armor and didn't help them at all
I've never had an issue with this kind of thing. My packages are always delivered right to my door. There was a single time where I ordered not on Amazon and it got delivered to the post office, but they still had it sitting right there, took 2 seconds to walk in and ask them for it.
