A friend introduced me to the Wild Unknown tarot deck and I immediately told her of the Rime of the Ancient Mariner illustrated by Gustave Doré, which is a great inspiration for me. I'm very fond of the poem, it's imagery and depth. I absolutely love Doré's illustrations for the Rime. The one for the Wheel is from the Rime and is one of my favorites ( 3:43 ) and also the one for 2 of Swords (10:40 ). I had no idea there was a whole tarot deck with Doré's illustrations! Amazing!
The Murder of crows is my favorite deck. This might be a deck to buy. Finally something more my style.
i usually do not like black and white decks but i do love this one! 💜💜
Very nice deck! Thank you for the flip through.
This deck feels very religious …stunning imagery that evokes fire and brimstone energies

Gustave Dore was a devout Catholic all his life and illustrated books such as the Dante Inferno and other Devine comedies, the Bible, Paradise Lost, Don Quixote and Edgar Allen Poe stories. He also did La Fotaine stories which is where Town Rat country rat and Cinderella come from. He was French and was known as a post romantic artist. His paintings were mostly religious and he was known for his monsters, dragons and demons and biblical themes.
🤩🤩🤩
Valley of Dry bones is an illustration they shouldnt have skipped.
The art is breathtaking, but but I can't seem to find meaning to any of them. It's definitely a journey to get to connect and understand it, unless you totally ignore the drawings and stick to the classic RWS interpretation...
Wow! How lovely
Obrigado ⚡️💫⭐️🪶🐺
Such an eloquent adaptation of Christian art to the book of Tarot.
🖤🖤🖤
Are the cards durable? How do you think they hold up over time?
this is the lywellyn version or Lo scarabeo?
It's a gorgeous deck, but I can't help missing the colors. Black n white decks are just too somber for me 😊
C est vraiment de la presentation a l arrache sans parler de la qualité ni rien !.. vous avez bien changé
Disappointing there's none of his Arthurian stuff 😕
This is one of those decks that are simply too full of beauty. I have the same issue with the Pagan Otherworlds… I want it and I don’t want it 😬🫤
