An aspiring culinary student struggles to craft the perfect recipe for a cooking competition featuring her favorite celebrity chef.
This film was made as a part of the film program at Montclair State University. As a film major, every year we have to create a film, and this was my third-year project. As with any project, there were quite a few obstacles we encountered along the way. From issues reserving equipment and finding locations, to losing two key actors last-minute, it was quite a challenge to keep everything on track.
I want to thank my friend and Producer, Jaden for stepping in last-minute to fill a role in the film. I also want to thank Emma for signing-on to the project literally the day before the shoot. Based on their performances, you would never guess that they had almost no time to prepare.
The entire film was shot over the course of a weekend (2.5 days in total), and I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Without the support of my friends, family, cast and crew, Gustav Spicy would never have been possible.
