You should study remedial law first.madali man lang yan. Isang araw tapos na. Then balikan mo comment mo. Focus ka sa civil at criminal procedure. Isama mo na rin yung rules of court at rules on evidence. Baka pede mo rin basahin yung legal at judicial ethics.

The lawyer's job is to represent their client fairly, even if it's obvious that they're guilty. It's less about proving their innocence and more of helping to make sure that the due process is followed. Both the victim and the suspect are equally represented in any of our country's court.

I think you should stop interviewing these lawyers. They just spew out the same nonsense: “trial by publicity,” “this is not the proper forum,” “we haven’t received a copy,” “our client is presumed innocent,” etc. Even after a court has rendered judgment, they will again counter, “it’s not a final judgment; we will appeal…” If we wait until judgment is upheld with finality by SC, then we have nothing to talk about? If they think this is trial by publicity, then why are they even granting interviews?

Its not the court that will tell if a document is authentic. The resource person and experts will tell if the documents are authentic or not. And based on the testimony of experts and resource persons, the court will decide based on those testimonies.

@@sneakymove No. The government will have their expert to testify proving the authenticity of their evidence vs Guo Hua Ping, and the accused will try to fight the evidence by having their own experts and resource persons testify in their favor. Then the court will decde who is telling the truth or who has better evidence and arguments to suppoirt their position.

@@sneakymove No. The government will have their experts and resource persons to testify with their evidence and documents against Gua Hua Ping that she is not Filipino, and the camp of Gua Hua Ping will fight the evidences and will have their own expert and resources person to testify in favor of Gua Hua Ping. The court will examine the evudences and testimonies and they will decide who is telling the truth and who has better evidence to support their case and who has better arguments. Then they will make the decision.

Why only alice guo? Are they sure that every chinese nationals that considers themselves filipinos were not lying? I'm sure this is only a problem of how much.knowing govt.officials they will keep quiet if the price is right

It's legal for any person to have a legal defense thru due process of law and via lawyers in order to defend against any allegation thrown. That is in accordance with law and its due process. Ultimately and lawfully, it is the proper courts of the republic who decide and not public opinion because the Philippines is under the rule of law and not under the rule of opinions.

This is funny, so what if Alice Guo’s narrative does not match with her fingerprint? It does not mean that her biological mother is not Filipino right? The fingerprints is secondary to her claim that her biological mother is Filipino. That’s what the court must prove, for all intent and purposes, maybe, that was what she grew up hearing. That means where was “gaslighted” by someone close to her. What Karen should’ve ask if I were doing the interview is just concentrate on the facts. The fingerprints of a certain Guo HuaPing and why we it match with Alice Guo and what are the courses of action the Guo camp will take from this revelation. Hence, the lawyer telling Karen that this is only her opinion and nothing else.
