As a musician, calling someone a natural really pisses us off (usually). Our skill are a result of hours of practice. Some people pick it up more easily than others but you don't get that good without practice.

@@oscarqualter8289 You're probably not, please care to explain how vibrato "gives" an absence of melody? It somehow softens it, sure, but it doesn't in fact "give" (as you improperly said) an absense of melody. Also, since this is the rawest form of rap there is I wouldn't consider a very soft and feeble melody something bad, it's not something that people need to sing along, it needs to tell a story and it has to be almost like a speech (it's still theatre) so I wouldn't consider a lack of melody that bad in this case. Anyone who has a little bit of musical knowledge would never say "I know better/more" since they would know how much more they need to understand, personally I've studied composition and music in general for years now and I'm still not sure about most of the things, music is for the listener, no one cares if it should sound better/worse theoretically if it works practically, also I know no one in my course that would say "I know more than you" to anybody, because humility is what will get you further in life, allowing you to understand and crave for more knowledge instead of stagnating in the made-up allknowing godlike state you live in.

Trilussa I just thought people should not give such strong opinions on the art of music. It is as you said subjective to the listener l. However to just say “she was average”. I thought I’d tell him my opinion based on my musical knowledge as a part time vocal coach. I’m sorry if I’ve caused any problems. I just don’t like how some people just post unnecessary comments. I’m not sure why you are saying I am wrong about a sense of melody. This is my opinion as you said music is about opinions not facts. That was my opinion based on my expertise. What I meant when I said I knew more (or seemed to) I meant musical knowledge and being a vocal coach means I do know more musical knowledge than most people. This doesn’t mean people can’t have an opinion. However I am sorry if I have caused any problems.

@@Sir-Taco her harmony and smoothness with transitions. Even if it’s not noticeable her harmonies are all throughout, if they weren’t, the song would sound…dry. Even though the boys have nice voices, harmony and contrast are needed with more than one person singing at once.
