Kickback got turned into a very solid back pocket weapon for melee ogryn builds, but also an obscenely strong delete button for full on ranged builds, able to pop damnation shooters at a comfortable distance and tear huge chunks off anything up close Ogryn finally has his own soup gun

the fact you handle these comfortably solo is so impressive

It really isn't. The spawns are heavily reduced during solo play. His carry the dead team clips are much more impressive.

@@revolved.ocelot I have 1k hours in the game and exclusively play maelstrom. Watch his solo play vs his saving a whole team. The enemy density isn't even comparable.

@@braisedtoast9002 That is not true actually. Its simply a matter of his true solos are not on the hi-intensity shock troop gauntlet like his team clips are. The pacing looks comparable to just a normal damnation run with no modifier, meanwhile the next clip is during the hi-STG. Vermintide and Darktide both have zero player scaling, no matter the player count its always scaled to 4 player. Hence why technically are not suppose to be able to play completely solo thats why the game gives you bots and you have to mod the game to play like this. After 1k hours you think you would have noticed that?

I've been using The Kickback all weekend and I've decided it's my favorite weapon in the game. I have one with 75% Range and if you aim down sight, it's literally a sniper rifle. And if you have the Surgical blessing just wait about 2.5 seconds before firing your shot while aiming and you will one shot almost every enemy in sight. Keep up the great work chocoB. I absolutely love all of your builds on all classes. If it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't be playing this amazing game. Have a great day and thank you for everything you do.

Use slide. That's about it. Just slide whenever possible and your movement will get much better. Including sliding after dodge.

​@@TakoaI'm not sure if this applies here but I know that having a higher FOV makes it look like you're moving faster, and it does look like he has it higher than the default at least

I was so sad before, considering the Kickback was straight up useless compared to other options.. But I got so so happy when it got buffed recently, making it very much viable as a specialist killer/horde softener or as I like to call it "Ogryns revolver", quick switch, pop and back to melee!

yeah, i've been running shovel and kickback and rocks this past week. It's awesome. Rocks make up for short range of the kickback. It takes out most things except carapace.

Kickback finally getting the love it deserves after all this time. Not many games let you shoot a punt gun for fun, but Darktide is one of them

I prefer the kickback for my main, something about how simple it is just fits like crazy. Especially for Ogryn use.

Question, what’s your key mapping, your so fluid, it’s impressive and I’m trying to optimize as someone whose recently switched to mouse and keyboard.

Fr. Either I’m tearing through swathes of enemies with a Ripper, blasting a Stubber at max firerate, turning hordes into marinara with a kickback, or just going full melee on any of the amazing weapons.

How do you make it so team mates don't shoot and pop bursters when you are pushing them? I always get that "bug" hahaha

When you become a experienced player you Will be able to Tell If your team dps can consistently kill pop busters from afar and will not try to push them yourself.

​@@daniloribeiro5372When you become a more experienced player you will be able to turn around and just sprint away full force from the pox burster right in front of you knowing that if you show even the slightest intention of pushing it the whole squad will start blasting everything they got just to kill the burster.

Getting the praise voiceline for killing a lot of enemies in short succession just by clicking once with the kickback is hilarious. "THAT'S why we bring an ogryn around" ... True he carries a literal medievil cannon no wonder

Gold’n fuckin Emprah, that solo gameplay (especially) was nuts. Super fun to watch and your build so far has been great (Ogryn is the last class Ive been getting to 30). Side question if anyone knows, Im new to Ogyrn and I suppose the game in general (on Xbox) but why is the cooldown (80s) on Point Blank Barrage so high? It doesn’t seem or feel game breaking (reload & fire rate buff w/ potentially toughness regen and burn if you spent into it).

Why is the max toughness 95 in this video? Isnt ogryn base toughness 100? Im not aware of anything that decreases toughness

No. Ogryns start with like 70 base toughness but 300 health.

Kickback would be even better if it had a bayonet like the Ripper Gun has.

nah for some reason the kickback gets a lot of ghost shots, it looks like it fired but didnt and doesnt do damage but didnt waste a shot, i imagine its an animation cancel thing tied to dodges and aiming on top of the games dodgy netcode

You mean lucky bullet? Because its a trap talent. Just so a quick math of 5% of 48 shells - i already did it, its 2.5 shells roughly. Lets be generous and make that 8% - 4 shells at most. Even for the stubbers the effect is negligible at best.

Its not worth it on anything, period. Take the achlyss stubber, which has 750 rounds maximally possible. Lets be generous and assume you have the 8% talent. The expected value is only 60 rounds. Thats a poultry amount. On the kickback or rumbler, or god forbid the gauntlet, youre expected to get fewer than 5 grenades if you expend all your ammo.

@@sturmmagnunstein1008 Isn't the point of the Lucky Shot keystone the "Crit" perk that comes after it? It is effectively extra crit chance for your gun and synergizes with certain blessings like charmed reload.

just me or is lucky bullet pretty underwhelming? especially compared to heavy hitter which is just amazing

Nice, I wouldn't go for Burst Limitter Overide Keystone myself, the returns are not worth it, even with a stubber. Feel No Pain or even Heavy Hitter would work better here.

This build is kind of a meme yeah. Shield is made for bleed and you miss it if you don't pick charge or taunt, and burst limiter is simply awful unless you are using the fast shooting stubber. I'm pretty sure he is handicapping himself to show that skill is more important than gear in this game, or just for fun. If not then yeah, not a great build even if you can make it work.

Anyone else upset how box o hurt is obsolete now? Rocks are basically better single target because you get 4 on a cd, and then pocket bomb is a better explosion than the box. Wtf.

Box of hurt has the same impact damage as rocks, and it has amazing CC capability. It is far less likely to not stagger the whole screen; frag bomb has a tendency of getting trapped on geometry and missing everything (shouldnt be a thing really), and you also only get 1.

You should try the rumbler, the thing melts bosses and absolutely fucks up any sort of hyper density that’s mixed with armor

i still think the mk5 ripper outperforms kickback in any build where you dont use point blank barrage

@@teeps7098Unironically, the best thing you can do for someone that’s learning another language is to nicely correct them when they make a mistake. If everyone thought like you, he would literally never know that it was grammatically incorrect because nobody would want to be “rude” and correct him. I’ve been learning Japanese for a few years now and I would much rather have someone correct me than not say anything and leave me to go on with mistakes and bad habits not knowing any better. DO be that guy.
