Trowa is. the dude didn't mess up stuff like the rest of them jerks, he didn't destroy colonies or get himself caught by Oz, he didn't let the Zero Wing tell him what to do like the other 4, he fought most of time with normal mobile suits like real men, and when he had amnesia it didn't stop him from destroying mobile dolls left and right. Edit: he also saved a colony from barge while he was undercover Oz,and another one later that Oz held hostage. I don't remember any colony get blown up while he was protecting it. even the one quatre tried to destroy, he couldn't do it because trowa stopped him with Vayeate, he survived a direct hit from a double buster rifle!!!.

Jimbo Nope Treize is literally the reason we have peace. All the moves he made were to get rid of all the war mongers and he knew all them must die including himself in order to attain peace. He did it. He is the best character without a doubt

When you look at the series as a whole, Trieze Khushrenada is the Prime Mover setting things in motion for a defined and ultimate goal. And that goal is genuine peace. However, he is aware that he will have no place in this new world of peace. He is a warrior. That's why he went out like he did fighting Chang Wufei. And on a personal note, I see Trieze Khushrenada and Milliardo Peacecraft as the two sides of Casval Rem Deikum/Char Aznable. Treize is a more refined Char Aznable from CHAR'S COUNTERATTACK. Whereas, Milliardo Peacecraft is essential the three stages of Char Aznable seen in MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM, MOBILE SUIT ZETA GUNDAM, and MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM: CHAR'S COUNTERATTACK. That's what makes both Trieze and Milliardo so compelling as characters. These two men had specific parts to play in ending the dominance of the Romefeller Foundation, and the war economy that made that organization a long term problem to peace on Earth, and throughout the space colonies.

Come to think of it, I think Treize is certainly the end goal of what Char SHOULD have become. He is a master manipulator but with no place among even the stars he calls home. Rather than fall to his vices and obsessions, I wished they'd explore him self-reflecting and finally coming to an epiphany for his own death, a planned suicide like Treize if you will. That would've been a befitting end to the Red Comet. To go as close as Icarus did to the Sun and melt in its glory.

Treize was an amazeballs villain. Like, you'd even question whether or not he was a villain...and that just made him more awesome.

Wufei: "Haven't you guys gotten tired of these meaningless battles yet?" Heero: "What do you mean?" Wufei: "Don't you guys realize? You've all been lured right in to OZ's devious little trap!" Quatre: "We what?!" Wufei: "Check out the alliance's report! You guys just wiped out the alliance's pacifists!" Heero: "Impossible!" Septem: *broadcasts alliance's report* "This is the colonies' declaration of war against us! We were just discussing plans for peace talks with the colonies today. Marshal Noventa was at the center of these plans, and he's been assassinated! He was killed by the colonies' invading mobile suits! I repeat!! This was a brutal invasion by the colonies!!" Relena: *watches broadcast in horror* "Heero...?!" *knocks over flower vase and shatters it* Septem: *continuing broadcast* "We will NOT kneel to the colonies!! We must fight them to the bitter end!!" Lady Une: "Very nicely done, General Septem. We won't be needing you any further." Septem: "What...?" Lady Une: *ejects Septem out of Shuttle* "A magnificent performance. It truly is a pity you had to leave the stage so early." *mercilessly shoots Septem in the head as he falls* "Well, we can't have any bloodstains in Treize's wake, now can we?" Treize: "The second act has just begun. We'll be busy." Wufei: "This was all completely planned out by OZ. We became their puppets, controlled by Treize Khushrenada." Quatre: "No! How awful..." Duo: "Damn him!" Trowa: *laments in silence* Wufei: "But I'm gonna fight you, OZ... Even if I've got to do it on my own." Heero: "What have I... What have I done...?"

Part of what makes this show such a classic is the fact that the Gundam Pilots actually get out played by Treize a LOT, and yet, because in his mind he does this for honor, we see him as reasonable. What am excellent villain!

The last 45 seconds or so of this gives me chills every time. So epic

Sometimes you watch or experience a piece of media that you know is bigger then the sum of it's parts. Gundam Wing is a silly goofy funny sad powerful anime with one of the greatest and most memorable OST's ever. I remember watching this on Toonami as a kid and all these years later when one of the songs from the series comes on I'm instantly transported to that point in the show like when they first unveil Epyon or when the god of death returns from hell! I tried watching one of the newer series and it just simply doesn't compare. I love this show even with it's inconsistencies or silly writing. It's perfect.

I suddenly have the urge to have a rose petal bubble bath.

I expected at the start "after colony 195" in that iconic voice!

You can really tell that it's the Shadow of the Colossus composer with this one.

Loved Episode 7 of this series this was when I became a real fan of this show. When Treize attacked at the end it was so alpha! I also cried at the end.

It's funny that after I've watched the whole series, the character that I like the most is Treize, not the Gundam pilots. He is the smartest and most charismatic character in the series, heck, even in all of Gundam series.

Do people really think he is a Char clone? The closest Char ever got to being Trieze like at all is Counterattack and thats selling him high. CC Char was out of his mind and too random to really be compared to someone as methodical and honorable as Treize. I dont see any comparison between the two besides the fact that fans love them.

@@shihoblade You’re right. Treize wasn’t a Char clone. Zechs clearly was and underwent Char’s evolution from MSG to CCA within one series. There have been other schemers in the franchise but none quite like Treize. Even in death, his followers remained loyal.

Treize let him win. In the original Japanese dub, Wu Fei laments, “He quit while he was ahead.” It’s at least one of the reasons why he joins Mariemeya’s Army before Endless Waltz.

Kuroyukikaze Kanade gundam has always had a anti fascist theme going. It not just a game of spotting the char clone , but the Hitler clone as well.

Gianni democratic or former democratic societies in the midst of a revolution and militaristic build up is a common trope in gundam as well.
