Great review, can't wait for the full! I'm really considering this gun, I like the sleekness of it. No rail, no Red Dot. Have plenty of other firearms with those features.

Been my conceal carry for months and like it better than my staccato c ..they have the optic ready with light cuts now but I simply had it milled at a local shop for 100 and threw a trijicon on it ..

I've been thinking about adding a Staccato to the collection for some time now, fingers crossed that will happen soon. Having said that you can't go wrong with the DWX Compact. More content to come, Cheers....

Have a DWX coming! Ordered some LOK grips and sending the slide to Primary Machine to mill and add a DeltaPoint Pro. This has to be the best of 1911 & CZ ergonomics.

I have full size, it's phenomenal. I too prefer a single action only for carry. I own the shadow two compact, and I converted it to single action only with Cajun gun works. Trigger is currently pulling at 2.25 lb, flat blade style, it is crazy, fast and accurate. I'm not sure about the DWX compact yet, maybe I'll get it one day.

Appreciate the insight and congrats on the full size DWX and double to single action conversion, which sounds bad A#%! Never thought about converting the double to a single action, this is something that I'm definitely going to looking into. I'm saving up for the full size DWX. I have a Dan Wesson Valor so I'm not worried about quality.

@@Avg_Vet Agreed, The DWX compact is one of the best compact-CCW platforms that I own 👍. Just picked up the SiG M18X/ROMEOM17 and the CZ Shadow 2 Compact, full reviews coming soon…

I prefer the CZ P-07 for double single. Love the decocker for carry. I would for sure go with the shadow 2 over the DWX because for me it also comes optics ready as well as with a light rail. Seems like more for your money and shadow 2 also has a saftey so very similar to the DWX. I also belive the msrp is cheaper on the Shadow 2 compact.

Appreciate the insight bud, you really can't go wrong with any single or double action CZ. Having said that, I'm looking forward to the DWX options to come, hopefully there's an future 1913 and an decocker variation coming soon. In reference to the Shadow 2 compact, you can't go wrong with this platform either. There's a good chance that I'll purchase one of these soon and go from there. Cheers

I prefer single action also. I have the full size. I'm waiting for shot show. I have a feeling that CZ may have a gen 2 version of the DWX Compact.

Great minds think alike, I've learned to really appreciate the single action throughout the years and I absolutely can't wait for this upcoming Shot Show. Congrats on the purchased, I decided to go with the compact over the full size, as it's tailored more for CCW. As far as the Gen 2, This is just my option, but I think they'll be have multiple frame options available in 2024. This is due to the removable internal design. Fingers crossed, we'll see. Cheers

I know every hand is different but are you able to get a full grip on it without the bottom edge of backstrap digging into the middle of your palm like the Staccato CS? Because of the scarcity of these, most people wont be able to hold it before purchasing.

Great question bud. I have pretty decent size hands and to be honest the DWX compact provides a perfect full size grip. Which is greatly enhanced by the 1911/Dan Wesson design and the bump out located on the upper portion of the grip. This is in addition to the extended beavertail. To date, this is the best compact I've owned. I'll have some updated posted soon. Cheers

Watches, cars and guns? The only thing missing is knives! I have a CZ75-PO1 and love it (with Cajun Gun Works trigger). But its lack of thumb safety means it is a range and home gun, only - no CCW. Looking for a compact, and CZ/Wesson sound good to me. Given up trying to get a Bul A SASII

Great minds thank a like, It just so happens that I love knives as well and you can't go wrong with the Cajun Gun Works trigger! As far as CCW, in my option you'll love the Dan Wesson Compact. Current waiting on the Bul Armory, SAS as well. Fingers crossed I'll have one soon.

Good eye bud! After taking a closer look it does not appear to be rust, even tho it is discolored and be honest I'm not sure why it came from the factory as such. Having said that I'm looking more into this. Cheers

I saw that as well. As a bike mechanic for ages, that always peeved me to see on high end parts. It's as simple as a tiny amount of grease on the tool head to avoid. You can clean the head of the screw out and put a tiny coat of grease in there to restore.
