I think the young lady had tremendous results and she looks great; however, I think it is downright rude to suggest that anyone approach someone with a gummy smile and ask them if they are confident with their smile. That is being presumptuous and could possibly cause someone that is confident with their gummy smile to lose that confidence. There are many people that are quite attractive and have the money to fix their smiles, but are happy with them. Check out some of these people: Estella Warren, Nicole Kidman (although she has had her teeth fixed, appears to still have a gummy smile), Anna Nicole, Andie MacDowell (take a look at her laughing), Natasha Alam, etc. I wouldn't discourage people from having a procedure like this, but I wouldn't encourage those that have to approach others about their own smile. That's just rude.

I'm sorry, Nathan. People are cruel. It was probably someone that has their own flaws and no confidence in themselves. I guess pointing out things about other people makes them feel better about themselves.

Dr Kurpis.I am considering getting the same procedure done on my smile. You just said that you don't cut into the musclesin the lip but how is the lip movement limited? Will this feel unnatural? Will I no longer be able to make some facial expressions with my mouth? Will this effect even kissing? I know these questions seem odd, but I am trying to ease my mind about getting this procedure. +Donna Ayers it's usually because more severe cases would cost more so it really depends on how bad the gummy smile is before they give you a quote
