As it is marriage requires a lot of compromises . It all seems romantic to defy elders and say it doesn't matter if he is poor, love knows no boundaries etc. When harsh realities of hunger, survival enter your life love goes for a toss. Your life becomes a daily grind of chores and what were simple pleasures earlier become luxuries. The daughter is not accustomed to that kind of life. It is just an infatuation or even an attraction that is very natural at this stage.

I've never seen this serial, and randomly KZread algorithm recommended it. The storytelling, direction, and acting is so skilful and wholesome. Multiple points of view and feels genuine. I miss this sophistication on Indian television.

What a father, how smartly he handled all the matter, generally people make a big issue on it he handle it in such a sensative as well as smart way

Soulful music by Jagjit Sing. Direction, dialigues great. Acting by Om Puri and Rita Bhaduri Superb. Good to hear Om Puri's voice.

Girls should get such parents. How practical and sensibly he explained that she will not be going to survive with him. Only emotions can't bring bread & butter. Relationship is time tested.

A perfect presentation, nice n realistic social story by renowned writer mrs Malti joshi, direction by guljar sahab,so telented actors , content is common in everywhere

Need to be thought from both sides: in this situation, the girl fairly agreed in exchange for the watch. She was a spoilt child. She could have also helped financially to be together. Why she was not confident to be able to be financially stable? What’s the point of education? Also, what’s the point of raising kids to be spoilt rather than taking responsibility? Loving the right person is also important, after all marriage is responsibility of both the lovers. In the end the “watch” won. Make the kids understand what being in a relationship would mean. Otherwise even after marrying to the rich person she will not become responsible. She will be responsibility of the father after the divorce. Moral:teach your kids to be responsible, educated to be independent. Loving someone is not wrong, not able to defend it or understand the road ahead.

@@shreeanand6812 fir me maturity is what Ashok had...he is the true lover...money is not everything.. loyalty comes first..if you are in love you can do anything that is not easy for others...love holds muchh power than money..but the girl is not truly lover of Ashok..I felt it when she agreed just for a wristwatch..and this showed her spoilt child behaviour...she was behaving like chlid..

Such type of selfish girls like Pammy shouldn't fall in love. They will ruin other's life. They just know to enjoy life at the cost of others. While girls like Kashi are mature enough to understand the importance of relationships and take a firm stand to preserve those. Such a contrast in the society is shown in this film.

Father was right.Pammys love thrived only because she got facilities at home.The day she would be deprived of them she will not adjust and many lives will be destroyed .pammys ,ashoks,pammys parents ashoks parents.Marriage is not between 2 people alone but 2 families

Her father guessed his daughter correctly because he did not raise her to be independent but a spoilt brat. The father failed the daughter himself. Mother shown to be somewhat sensitive towards what Ashok is going through. She respects and cares for the poor maid, but could not teach her own daughter humility.

मां-बाप कभी भी बच्चों का बुरा नहीं सोचते हैं ....बच्चे कुछ दिनों की जवानी की बातों में आकर अपने मां-बाप से बगावत कर देते हैं ... यह कभी सोचते नहीं है कि 20-22 साल जिसने पाल पोस कर बड़ा किया वह क्या तुम्हारे बारे में गलत सोचेगा ?....और जिस से अभी मिले हुए 1 साल 2 साल या 3 साल हुए हैं वह तुम्हारे लिए सब कुछ हो गया है..?.... ऐसे भ्रम ,,,लव मैरिज के बाद अक्सर टूट जाते हैं.

Instead of going back in time we all collectively can bring back the time by behaving resposibly and by understanding behaviour of our children in ritious way. Making hue and cry makes the things go out of the hands is an establishrd fact, and should be avoided as parents and most people were doing in those times. This can bring back the harmony as in those days. We don't need a time machine and magic for that.
