    If this controller had capacative sticks, improve the gyro with software, and made the back buttons compatible with steam input, this would be PERFECT. As it is now its basically not usable with a steamdeck.

    If you're looking for those features then basically the only control you'd have to use is the official steam controller that they don't make anymore.

    I like the controller but the only things that suck about it are that the gyro and back buttons only work in switch mode, and the back buttons can't be mapped through Steam input they can only be mapped to other buttons on the controller . And then sometimes it has pretty bad input lag but I can't pin down what's causing it

    More features are more better, but that all white color scheme is blinding. If I get one, I'll opt for the all black color scheme.

    I think you can use it but the only trigger options are L1 or L2. No always on, no other button can trigger it, no capacitive sticks...yet.

    I have the original in black. I do really like it BUT.. the replaceable button caps, while being a convenient feature, do mean that if your hands get too sweaty, they can pull the caps off in the middle of play. That's a real bummer. Really hope they figure out a way to prevent that. Some of those new features are nice though. I wish I had the sliders.

    If they're gonna slap "Pro" on there for the love of god make the battery replaceable. Why buy these fancy hall affect joysticks when there is literally an expiration date built in to the battery.

    hum... why no one ever measure input delay? That measurement will tell if the controller is good of just garbage.

    It's a wireless controller of course there's going to be input delay If you're really worried about that you're going to need to buy a wired controller of some kind.

  • @tamodolo

    @tamodolo

    @@bland9876 By your reply I assume you don't really understand how input delay works so let me explain. Actually it doesn't matter if it's wired or wireless. Take the DS4 as example: it'll have the very same input delay in both USB and BT. Measuring the input delay ultimately gives you absolute data over the quality of the connection. You'll know the update rate and the max time between a buton press and the moment of arrival on PC to be processed. It's also possible to measure consistency in that delivery rate. By this measurement alone one can infer reliability and speed. The worst controller I got this measurement was the 8bitdo SN30 pro+. This controller is a real tragedy. The update rate is slow and full of dummy entries. Also the input delay is way beyond the upper threshold to be considered enough for a good experience. I also got data that a friend measured from a gullikit controller and it was the same. The only controller I got good data from was the first party ones: Xbox controllers, Playstation controllers and Nintendo controlers. Those zero latency boards that are used for arcade sticks also have amazing input delay.
