Gulf Coast 4K - Scenic Drive - Coastal Sunrise
Sunrise drive along the Gulf of Mexico in Mississippi, passing through Biloxi (little Las Vegas of the south) and Gulfport Mississippi. We drove along this beach at sunset years ago and it was unforgettable. Enjoy!
Starting Point: Beach Blvd goo.gl/maps/zM9EDgGhcgPzk945A
Mississippi is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States. Mississippi is almost entirely within the Gulf coastal plain, and generally consists of lowland plains and low hills.
Biloxi is a city in Mississippi first settled by French colonists. he beachfront of Biloxi lies directly on the Mississippi Sound, with barrier islands scattered off the coast and into the Gulf of Mexico. On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast with high winds, heavy rains and a 30-foot (9.1 m) storm surge, causing massive damage to the area. Check the Wikipedia page below for pictures. Biloxi is home to several casino resort hotels, concert entertainment shows, and several restaurants.

I've lived here for almost 20 years. Note regarding all the vacant lots- there were very few vacant lots along the beach prior to Hurricane Katrina. Everything along the beach was gutted and most buildings were leveled from the storm surge. Truly horrific and apocalyptic. Businesses began to build back pretty quickly, but only in the past couple of years has commerce really started booming again. Sadly, most homeowners still own their lots but cannot afford to rebuild due to high insurance rates.
That's part of the route I take every day to work It is a beautiful drive
These videos are always so calm and relaxing thank you so much...
when i watch your videos i forget where i live for a while and it makes me feel better bringing positive emotions. :)
I've made this drive dozens of times. I wish someone had footage like this from before Hurricane Katrina, and then again, before the casinos. Two drastic changes along the coast.

504RoadTrips It was incredibly beautiful before Katrina and the casinos. All those antebellum homes destroyed and things so rearranged. I'm glad I took this drive before all that happened. I remember the Gulfport sign all in seashells. So beautiful.
I’ve always wanted to go to the south. I’m from San Francisco.
I miss THAT brige! From OCEAN springs to Biloxi! A year ago we moved to Texas! Thanks!

The lights and trees along the road are nice👍
Love USA 😍
Wonderful, this video has captivated me 😍
Will never move away from Biloxi. May need to travel with my career but home will always be in Biloxi. An indescribable feeling from sunrise to sunset drives, casinos, live entertainment on the Coast. There’s something about the Gulf Coast that makes it difficult to move inland.
Your videos are a blessing!
Awesome Vedio..😍thanks friend for your sharing
It has snowed. That's definitely snow on the roads. :) This video is a great alternation to the downtown videos.

Sand. Even without the hurricanes, everything stays sand blown on the Gulf Coast. Even some of the streets in town are line with sand. Sand, sand everywhere. Thats just the aesthetic down there.
Great drive! -fantastic footage.👍

SIMPLY AMAZING

Gotta love HWY 90.

I nevar seen before in my life this city. Beautiful city around. Everything is clean and new. 👌❤💖 i like this video. 📹
I want to go there. So AMAZING!
I love these videos! You are awesome!
Hi, I'm just seeing this...nice video. I'm originally from Pascagoula and it's nice to see the trees come back to life. I visited down there about a month after Hurricane Katrina hit and EVERY tree along the beach and along US 90 had its leaves stripped off. It was over a year before the leave grew back. Riding down this road brings back a lot of good memories for me.
Beautiful place
Wow so cool I like to drive too

Mississippi best state ever
Great drive 👋from England never see this , just mostly country lanes thanks
Great views. ☺️
Beautiful place 😍😍😍😍😍
Spanish Trail - Beach Blvd is on of the most overlooked coastal drives in country, yet it stuns everyone I know who drives it for the first time. The stretches from 9:20 to 11:00 and 28:00 to about 37:11 was once lined with stilted wrap around porch bungalows and gated antebellum townhouses, some dating back to the 1830's. One of many residential strips leading into Gulfport. Sad to see them twisted and mangled after Katrina. I guess they just went ahead and cleared them all away. The had to completely rebuild Jefferson Davis's townhouse mansion. They've rebuilt some closer to town I see. Alot of the trees lining the highway was the yard landscaping of the homes that were there. US 90 from Ft Walton all the way to Beaumont, Texas is trek across a piece of America by itself.
Should have stopped by for a coffee! :D

I'm really digging these road videos you've been putting up lately. Some of the areas you drove through in each of them sort of resemble areas I drive through whenever I go to my aunt's house in Long Island. By the way, how the hell did I not know Mississippi had palm trees? lol

I heard Mississippi is one of the poorest state in U.S and California’s one of the richest yet the roads look much better over there...

Mississippi always gets a bad wrap. No credit for the good things we have. No we don't have great waves like California but you don't see homeless drug addicts on that road everywhere do you? Quality of life is ten times better. The poor may be poor but most still have homes and most have the opportunity to do better if they just apply themselves. We have some of the best Universities in the country. I don't have to worry about walking down the street and stepping in crap. And that's not dog crap, but human, like your lovely California👍

I remember talking about this! Daily is too much right? The coastal ones are easy though. I was going to publish tomorrow but figured why not. Another question for you. I went through and organized my hard drive files and have probably 20 good videos from my trips to London, Paris, NYC, Boston, DC, etc. Trips from Sept though December of last year. I should publish these right? I figure viewers typically assume most videos are recent, but why not publish these anyway? I'll probably add the month and year in the description. Amazing places on our Planet does it like that.
@Siddeo

J Utah Date when the video was shot doesn't matter as long as the KZreadr mentions the date of the video in the description or title. You are not claiming in your channel to upload only the latest videos. Date when the video was shot matters for KZreadrs who do vlogging. Not for driving videos. I also like the channel "Amazing Places on Our Planet" that you mentioned.

@@jutah yes. Daily uploads are not necessary. I was just joking because you uploaded a lot in past 10 days. Weekly or even once in 8-10 days are fine. No channel like yours exists. So even if you upload once in 3 months your channel will still be unique. Lol..

On roads with a lot of traffic lights & commerce, the right lane IS a lot of stopping & slowing down for shoppers turning right. Now on highways, no excuse!!
