I just can't believe almost all of these 60s, 70s, 80s artists have left us except a few like Amit Ji and Jeetendra Sir and Dilip Sir. Life is so vulnerable. Everyone has to die one day. Even me too. At most I have 60 years of life in my future (Im 15). But it would never match the living experience of the 70s. It's only my dream to somehow experience that era which is impossible for now. But who knows what can happen in next few decades.

1969-71 was the period of 16 consecutive hits. Rajesh Khanna peaked out somewhere in 1974-75 and was gradually replaced by Amitabh. However what a period that was. He generated mass hysteria the likes of which has never been witnessed before or after him. It is really unfortunate that he couldn't bring in more discipline in his personal life ....... otherwise he would have remained at the top for a much longer period. In the end that (discipline) was the major difference between Amitabh and Rajesh ....arguably two of the finest actors ever to have graced the silver screen.

@@vijaykanch Yes yaar, true. By the way Amitabh or any other actor was not as charming as Rajesh Khanna. Amitaabh would be on top for a long time. But if any actor in Hindi Cinema could feel like A GOD , it was only Rajesh. Directors, producers, actresses, co actors, and of course Indian Audience..everybody was crazy for him. His peak was from Aradhana to Prem Kahani in 1975. He was a phenomenon, and Phenomenon never last long.

You know my mum was an ardent fan of Rajesh Khanna. She loved him deeply when she was in her teens, followed him throughout her life and even shedded tears when he passed. She has never met him and RK does not know of her existence but her fan relationship with him lasted 40 years. Such is a love of a fan... so pure and based on lots of admiration and appreciation of the artists talent. Where has those days gone ? My Favourite *Rajesh Khanna* n my most favourite Singer *Mohd Rafi ji* The Song , the Lyrics , the beautiful Scenery , miss those Days. Movies were made of these. Now totally Hopeless. At 61 years , I have stopped watching n listening to the Crap they produce now a days. Our *Teenage years* were filled with such Lovely songs n lyrics.
