Alex Price hey alex, I was wondering what case you use for your archtop when gigging or traveling. I’ve been looking into getting a case for mine but don’t know where to start.

@@wizzboy18 Hey! I actually just use the soft shell Reunion Blues case I featured in this video. I have a hard case as well that came with the Eastman when I bought it but the RB is much easier to travel with - even when I'm flying.

Softcase for my Martin and one-trip setup is a game changer. Next step is to convert your pedalboard for DI with both your guitar, vocals and in-ears ,so no need to drag an amp. Wonderful!

Mono cases are awesome. I have an old one and when it eventually wears out, for sure I'll be getting another - probably the Vertigo bag with the attachment you have since I've seen this. I'd love to know how you're getting through airports with your guitar AND pedalboard. In Canada it's nearly impossible to get away with just one of those.

Ha. The key to it is just being such a pain in the butt about it that the airport attendant gives up. Of course always be polite, but make it known that the guitar is coming on the plane with you. If they ask you to check it at the gate, agree and then take the tag off when you're nearly onboard. If you can, lower the case enough on your back that the top of it is below your shoulders. Throw a coat over it and move quickly so they don't see it in the first place.

@@AlexPriceMusician It still worries me, traveling with a soft case. Have you ever had to check it under the plane? That just sounds so dangerous for the instrument

@@rickygomez2316 Only ever once. When I got it back, the case was freezing and I waited an hour or so to open it so that the guitar could adjust to the temperature naturally. When they forced me to check it, the attendant was polite and personally walked it down and loaded it safely. I watched him do the whole thing.

Great video! I'm a bit late to the party I know, but do you take a a backup guitar to gigs or just the one?

I’ve never brought a backup. Too much work to bring an extra when I’ve never needed one in so many years of gigging
Does anyone know if the mono bag fits an es335?

Hi Josh - The ES335 has a 16" lower bout. This Mono bag is only rated for up to 14" so it won't fit in this specific one, but Mono does make a bag just like it but sized for semihollows.
