Baba Yaga is Polish for "WITCH"
Baba Yaga (in slavic culture) is a supernatural creature which looks like deformed, scary old woman living deep in the woods, doing black magic and crafting poison. Also some use name "Baba Yaga" as synonym to a "Witch".
Toccata is the one !!
Polish lullaby text here: At Wojtuś, from an ashpan A little spark is winking Come, I'll tell you a fairy tale the fairy tale will be long. Once there was a princess who fell in love with a musician The king gave them a wedding And the fairy tale is finished. Once there was a Baba-Yaga She had a cottage made of butter And only wonders had in there... Oops, and the spark went out. At Wojtuś, from an ashpan A little spark is winking Come, I'll tell you a fairy tale the fairy tale will be long. I will never believe you again. you small spark. First you blink, then you fade, and there goes the whole fairy tale.
I play guitar and I say his Brain works in mysterious ways. From coordination to arrangements. The guy is a genius. Thanks for the reaction.

Incredible musical talent. Marcin is a great man, great personal culture and a great musician. I enjoy your admiration for my compatriot. I love your way of commenting ✌👏🎸🌞💙

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONGS...BEAUTIFUL MARCIN ...I LOVE YOU ..BABA JAGA...
Hey from Texas, Ellis! I'm a 68 y/o female who just happened to recently catch a YT video of Marcin's performance of Beethoven's 5th. I was mesmerized by the phenomenal one-guitar performance, his use of both hands simultaneously handling so much activity on the guitar & making it sound so magnificent. I am not a musician, nor do I personally know or physically follow anyone who plays professionally (although I did have 2 members of ELO play their guitars at a friend of mine's house down the street from me here in Texas, & Mickey Gilley (Jerry Lee Lewis' cousin) played my piano once. I was in junior high school & didn't really grasp how famous they were, lol, so their presence was a bit lost on me (sigh). I digress.... I have subscribed to your channel because I love your reaction to Marcin & greatly appreciate you pulling out your guitar & demonstrating, w/ explanations, what Marcin was doing w/ his fingers. You are very down to earth & seem like a really nice guy. I look forward to seeing more "reactions" from you of Marcin's other arrangements, but also of you reacting to vocalists & other musicians. Thank you!!
Wspaniały jesteś kolego w twoich reactions how playing and bit stringscMarcin but I now of course he isn't God nie da się pojąć on jest można o nim przeczytać uwierzyć ale jak pojąć no way,no way.Są to umiejętności z innej Planety to są rzeczy nadprzyrodzone .Super dziękuję za analizę .I na niej tylko poprzestańmy.I pomyśleć że On cały czas się jeszcze doskonali gdzie koniec tego no gdzie?Buy,buy Mate.
Jesteś wspaniałym fachowcem,zagraj jak Marcin!
Wow man. you know your stuff.... Great to see..
SMILE !
Baba Yaga is one of Marcin's own compositions. But you likely knew that already. :-))
Przepraszam wow ! I aprecciate it Polish language is very difficult, Russian also. Grettings from Poland 🖐
Marcin grasz świetnie i w dodatku jesteś fajnym gościem.
Ellis, you are divine. Marcin too. Master Of Puppets in his performance is fabulous. Respect for your comments
I’m blown away
PS. yes, thera are some aspect of diifuculties which only guitar player can notice and appreciate, eg. the speed and precision of harmonics. At the same time great timing and feeling of rythm, especially in Marcin's performance of "Fly me to the Moon", jazzy with a bit of funky groove

Is super nice performance 🔥🎸🔥👏🎶
this is fantastic
You are a true master, you hear perfectly well! The pronunciation of the word 'przepraszam' is extremely difficult for a foreigner. You did it brilliantly. Respect and greetings from Poland.
You're good chap. well done you,,,,,,,,,,,,
Thanks 😄😄😄❤️❤️❤️🤍🤍🤍
This piece has nothing to do with John Wick films. It is based on melody of the old Polish lullaby 'Iskierka' (Sparkle) from 1924. The lyrics of the lullaby contain Baba Yaga name.

Na Wojtusia z popielnika iskiereczka mruga...Marcin is a true genius. He is one of the best guitar players today but he is going to be best guitar player in history.
Baba Yaga it's not Russian, it's in Polish. :) She is part of some fairy tales known in Poland. In Slavic folklore (previously were probably part of its mythology) is a supernatural being who appears as a deformed and / or ferocious-looking woman-witch. IMHO it's a little bit similar person as in the story by Grimm Brothers but ofc it was written much, much later than the tale stories about Baba Yaga. It's probably reason that Marcin used the forest scenery. Regards!

Thank you for this explanation, Andy! I'm a 68 y/o from the 60's generation & a real fan of the Grimm Brothers' stories, as well as an eclectic interest in music (no talent, though, lol). I'm also not a guitarist, nor do I have anything personally to do with bands or instrumentalists, but I saw Marcin on a YT video & was fascinated, of course, by his skill level, creativity, stage presence, & his age! Also, Americans do not hear much out of the Polish communities here in the States, nor of their country (until this Ukraine-Russia war). I live in Texas & don't know that I'm aware of even meeting someone from Poland. Are you Polish?
@andyreasoner4054

@@MsJudi54 Yes, I'm Polish. The situation is probably due to the fact that until Solidarity and breaking down communism Poland as other Central European countries were behind "Iron curtain". Morover Polish language ofc is not so popular as English, so acces to many information, books, journals etc for Americans can be more difficult. But music is such wonderful language that it has no barriers. Best regards from Poland! :)
My favourite one was the Master of Puppets but since I saw the Toccata and Fugue in the vampire style...I've changed my mind. Highly recommended for your review and reaction.
Thank you for a well done reaction to Marcín playing his song Baba Yaga! I am mesmerized by his performance of this piece most of all because it just showcases his MAGICK! Baba Yaga is based on a very old Slavic folktale about a witch who can be found in the deep forest, sometimes she is an old woman, but can appear as a young woman, she can be very mean and eat you, or she may love you and give you gifts! She is depicted in Slavic fairytales as flying in a giant mortar and pestle (magic herbs and mushrooms?) Or a witch flies with a broom. The way Marcín stands and plays this song I see him absolutely FLYING with his guitar using the MAGICK of his gift! By the way the forest he is playing in here is near a famous mountain known for being home to witches. Marcín is pure MAGICK!!!
Baba Yaga to jeden z moich ulubionych utworów. Pozdrawiam serdecznie z Polski 💙💛✌️

Thank you for the most instructive reaction to Baba Yaga so far! Makes me appreciate Marcin even more!
Omg, you mastered Polish. That "przepraszam" was perfect. And you pronounced "Marcin" exactly how it should be pronounced. Btw Baba Yaga is a character from Slavic mythology.
Please react: Marcin Patrzalek - Hush (Official Music Video), Please.
I love your reactions. You’re so knowledgeable about what is actually going on musically. And I love that you mentioned his right hand. His right hand technique is absolutely insane and no one ever says anything about it. And just as an FYI, Marcin plucks his harmonics with his pinky finger, not his thumb.
And it's not the song..its all about Marcin ..he can take any song ANF physically make it 1000 times better
Love your reactions. Thank you!!!:-))
Ellis, there is also live version of the Baba Yaga. ( Baba Yaga is a kind of Witch)
Hey bro! So when he does the artificial harmonics/Harmonics he's actually using his pinky finger

You're always so excited before reacting to Marcin! Respect Poland for accepting so many refugees fleeing Ukraine, attacked by Russian occupants!
Yeah he's doing multiple things all at once--impossible for the average human. ND makes it look easy. :-/:-))
Baba Jaga (Yaga) is a very old Slavic folklore being. Nobody in Poland will connect it with Russia, as it is a 1000 years older than Russia.
Don't compare Polish to Russian language. If you do not know a word of Polish languge then you will show the greatest respect when you do not use Russian LG.
Mind melting. 🤯

I listened to him playing live of this song, only a guitar and him without any added extra sound. And I enjoy it sooooo much! Baba Yaga n Master of Puppets is definitely AWESOME

Krzysztof Appelt As far as I know, Baba Yaga was composed by a Russian or more likely Ukrainian Composer Mussorgsky as a part of a collection The Pictures from Exposition. Another important piece from this collection is The Great Gate of Kyiv. It is indeed a great performance of Marcin..
EllisLamarMusic... You haven't teased, you know the original ... in Poland all children know it ... it's a lullaby

Hey Ellies. At the end when u talk about harmonics he does. He doesnt do them with index as u explaining but he does it with his pinky. Check it again
Cholernie dobrze jest tam ustawiony pogłos w przetwornikach.
About the part you talk about harmonics Hes doing harmonics with his pinky! Watch it slow motion.
There is a video where he is playing this on live stream so you can hear it without additional effects.
Nazywanie Polaka Rosjaninem jest Obelgą dla Polaka
His a genius,it difficult to do that hands movement in guitar
i think i heard a bit of polish folk song "choc koteczku to opowiem ci bajeczke" 2.24 time and 10 sec forward
Great piece.... 🤯correct me if I'm wrong but does he pull those harmonics with his small finger? 🥺
7:50 is a music for next John Wicx
Marcin is the greatest finger style acoustic guitarist on the planet, No one comes close, Enjoy, don't over analyze him. You most know he was a classical/flamenco child prodigy.
This is about polish legend story…
Gibson didn't want to give him a guitar, he gave Ibanerz and probably won't beat him anymore
