Wow. This came up in my feed and I honestly had low expectations, expecting it to be a cute attempt. I was a teenager when Van Halen hit the scene and was the reason I started playing. Phenomenal playing of Eddie’s live solo. I’ve seen Eddie live about 4 times. Your courage and dedication to play like him and give it as a free gift to the school at a talent show….wow. Nobody who heard you except maybe a few of the sports coaches who may have heard you will ever have a clue of what you just did or the work it took to play that, but I do. Keep playing, keep pursuing your dream. In fact, this is just what Eddie did. Don’t give up on your dream or leave playing bc you “have to go to college” or get a job. “Successful people find a way,” as they say. If you want it kid, you got it. Never give it up and Eddie will really be proud.

I like to think this kid’s dad put him on to Eddie and the gang, and many other great artists. Maybe not though.
That was tremendous young man! I’m sure your parents are really proud of you 😎👍🏻 don’t stop! Young Eddie Van Halen

@martyconroy3786 as a parent, I never get tired of hearing my kid practice his instruments. He improves every day. I'd imagine some kids aren't fun to listen to. This dude is definitely not one of them, lol.

Really I have no words as a guitarrist and kid that was completely awesome
And a legend is born! Guaranteed they’ll be talking about this at the 50th reunion.
That was fucking sick dude, absolutely nailed it!
Young man you have made the dreams of all of us old man who wished we could have done this! Keep on rocking!
I actually got chills. That doesn’t happen very often, but when I hear true talent, my body just reacts
😂 The one finger Tap, push the glasses up...priceless!!!
The fact that he broke out Eruption. That is confidence, and he nailed it too!!
Well done. Classic Eddie solo. You can shred
Awesome job ! 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
Oh My Lord.... you've just brought EVH back to life! Genuis Kid, Pure Genuis!
No one has a face left in that auditorium… he just melted them all off
This kid is wickedly talented!!! The audience didn’t realize just how good that performance was.
Buddy took that guitar by the scruff of the neck and absolutely inflicted his will.
Right?! Love seeing this and you can tell he has it. Awesome
I’m a big advocate for music, especially in the rock department and this kid is very talented. As soon as he started doing the eruption solo we all love and enjoy it sent chills down my spine. Flawless!
That’s real talent…. Phenomenal young man

This young man can give the greatest guitar players a run for their money. Excellent job
I am 57 years old now and grew up with Van Halen’s music, young man you just brought back a lot of great memories. Thanks 🙏
Frikkn awesome! Thats dedication!🤘
There's no paint left on any walls of any rooms this kid plays in!! Absolutely amazing!!
As a old man guitar player I'm going to give you props and say I like the way that you did eruption but added your own style and chose the write notes to end on... Very well done sir I hope you have a long career enriched with music... Don't do drugs. LOL

Freakin’ awesome performance, bro. Congrats!! EVH would be proud!!
Great job. Those kids just witnessed greatness. I just witnessed greatness. Dude you made Eddie proud. Thank you for that
Not gonna lie.. that went WWWWAAAAYYY BETTER than I expected. In fact that was just fn AWESOME
This kid has more skill and potential than most people I know who have been playing for longer than he’s been alive.
I’ve been playing for a year, and this is absolutely incredible
Kudos to you my rock and roll brother that was one awesome solo I've been playing 42 years and that was freaking awesome man you rock I don't think the people in the audience knew and appreciate what you just did but I do rock on brother !!!!
Just to put this into perspective, this KID learned Eruption quite well I might add, his parts that were actually Eruption were clean and well played. He did that then interwove it into his own interpretation and added his own chops. Very well done young man!! 🤘🤘
I don't know any band that wouldn't snatch him up in a heartbeat. Great performance and very talented young man. Great job 👍

❤ That's exactly what I was saying. You was reading my mind. He plays like a master. It took EVH years to get it just right. This kid is so unbelievable that if you didn't know the song and who is the guitar God that played it, you would think he wrote it himself. Just WOW, WOW, WOW WOW.This young man is the definition of prodigy. ❤❤❤ Perfection!
Flat out Awesome ! Very talented. 👍
The genus of EVH was first he understood musically exactly what and how he was doing what he was playing and he could execute it like no one prior because of that knowledge and ability. But his ability to inspire others is legendary and may never again be seen, at least not by my generation, the generation that saw him live in concert, I did it and this young man is destined for Rock Star status if he Perseus it with the same passion and determination that EVH did! ROCK ON BROTHER!!
Well that was one hell of an improv! Pentatonic along with EVH scale! Amazing job kid! Keep it up!
Possibly the most dope part was the casual repositioning of glasses at 4:00 as if he were just taking a stroll
Damn that kill switch trick is pure fire! Great job!
I love how he didn’t just stand their the whole time and he actually was getting into it
It's not just the skill of this kid that amazes me, it's his sheer confidence and energy. I know if I were there I would be standing in the middle of the hall and very awkwardly looking at my guitar, meanwhile he's jumping around like a madman. Ansolutely amazing
Well done!!!! A beautiful homage to EVH and Eruption!
Bruh that is crazyyyyyyy, u are super talented and have seriously poured some time into learning how to play the guitar. Wow, that was incredible, i am speechless!
Dude you did so well that you make me want to practice more to play at my high school. Good shit man.
Really nice job! Can you imagine being the kid who has to follow that?!? 🤘✌️
Holy Crap! This was amazing! Every once in a while, some kid in a high school talent show, turns out to be a musical genius! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This kid has rock star written all over him!! Superb.
A lot of emotional and perfect playing in my opinion, I haven't seen anything like this for a long time and really proud to found this video 👍🏻
Reminds me of when I was a kid back in the 70s, time goes by too fast. Great job!!
I literally just heard the 70s 80s and the 90s of Metal Rock solo ALL IN ONE. Let me know if I missed a decade. OMG Yes
Those dive bombs and sound effects at 3:44 - 3:53 were astoundingly amazing!
I am in awe, for being a high school talent show, you have no competition. This was phenomenal and you rock.
Great job kid! You made it your own! Horns held high!
This was fantastic. Honoring what came before while also adding something new.
"We're not worthy" Outstanding.
Hot damn that was incredible! Never stop shredding, dude!
