I'm not a classical player and find it difficult to break some of my old habits, having watched the Dominic Millar Norway video during the Covid lockdown I decided to step up a bit and learn some classical pieces, it really helps but my fingers are bit set in their ways and it's not easy to embed the required changes after more than 50 years playing guitar the way I play. Your video takes this to another level for me, I want more instruction, much more as I feel you communicate so much better than many I've found on the internet, your passion for the music come through and speaks volumes to me. Have you thought of putting proper lessons together, I'm sure you would get may paying students online?

Thanks so much for your nice comment, I really appreciate the time to watch my video and making such an insightful observation. I am sorry to say that I am not taking students online - I have basic, intermediate and advance tuition in person and do not have the time to do online lessons properly - I do not want to make a second class job... there are very good online teachers around KZread anyway... Cheers and do not give up!

Very informative video, My Friend. With great ideas, opening the mind to trying new ways and following a different path in my practicing. Which in turn leads to a slight path out of what may be a bit of a rut in my playing! How did you know Cesar? However you knew, thanks for not only the lessons and tips but also for Bach and Your beautiful peice, Sir! Your playing always brightens my day, even your practicing is a blessing! Thanks again Cesar

Lovely playing.Great video.Your passion is how it should be.I love the way you promote the music as it is very meditative too. The Well Tempered Clavier and The Cello Suite help me breathe fully. I also love Cavatina, Sunburst by Andrew York (he plays it on steel string on You Tube and John Williams recorded it on classical guitar) and Dee by Randy Rhoads on Tribute album. Well Done ! I don't know too much about Classical Music but I bought a Classical guitar to play these on.Usually I just love rock guitar.

It's not often I am truly inspired by a video. I am always looking for inspiration and something different. You truly inspired me with this one! I will certainly try this, today. Also, I think what you said about economical fingering. There has been many times over the years, where I have found my playing could be more efficient by fretting a different way. A lot of times we get into habits while playing guitar. Sometimes those become bad habits. Yet, we continue to play this way because it has become such a habit. This kind of thinking has me always watching for a better or more efficient way of playing. I believe it also helps me to keep my mind open to new things. Thank you my friend, for great content! You really nailed it here!

Hey Wrecker! Thanks so much, really, appreciate you being there...you see, the " smart fingering" is superimportant IMHO and sometimes we all can do better in that department, but do no dedicate the time to study the pieces ( whether is rock, jazz, folk, classical... ) to find the best fingering....master of this are Joe Pass (was ) , John McLaughlin, Dominic Miller himself.... Thanks for the nice comment!

Bach was truly one of the best composers ever. His music somehow always sounds good. At half the speed or at twice the speed, from top to bottom and bottom to top, etc. In fact, if you play on the organ (or piano), you can play one hand in some songs at twice the speed and the other at original and it still makes sense. What you are talking about "efficiency of movement" is actually true for all musical instruments. Not only music but also sports and, more abstract, engineering. A good principle in life: "Make the most out of as little work as possible." 🤣

So true... Specially in organ, you can have the bass played as melody and viceversa... Cheers and thanks!

@@CesarAllGuitar Yep, no distinction between Bass and Melody. Of course, Bach did not know the guitar or the piano. They were not invented yet. Might have been interesting to see what he might have composed natively for those instruments.

Abrazos!

Hello Cesar, how are you? I notice your guitar is plugged in. Are you using Impulse Response? In other older videos you used Piezzo, on this guitar I think you also used Irig Acustic Stage. I was curious to know what you used in this video, because I see it plugged in and it doesn't have a piezzo sound. By the way the sound is better than in the other examples. Thanks!
