I hope Norm knows how lucky he is to have Lemmo. He's got a winning screen presence, as well as deep knowledge and tremendous, wide-ranging musicianship. This show is better than it's ever been.

I just started myself at age 61! I was a professional drummer for 40 years and decided that was long enough after battling tinnitus. Now I am playing an acoustic guitar. Let’s have some fun now that we are “ guitarist”! Wishing you the best! 🎸🎈✌🏼

Never be embarrassed to show emotions.....The love for your friend is real and deserves to be acknowledged.Peace and love.
Saw a picture of Uncle Ted with his collection of Byrdland's, years ago, at that time there was 15.
I started watching the channel 2 years ago selectively based on my interest. Now I watch every posting because I'm blown away by what I haven't heard..besides some really really great guitar work. Awesome!
Now that is a beautiful guitar. And to answer that age old question, it does rock.
Beautiful guitar. Beautiful playing. Thanks for that Lemmo.
That was bad ass Lemmo ! That is my bucket list guitar ! Thanks Jen !

Love these daily videos! Very very sorry for your loss buddy… Keep you and your friend and his family in my prayers
Hey Mr Lemmo you are killing it GOTD has never been better WOW just WOW I wanna give a shout out to Jen of course for making these short videos happen for sure......keep up the great work
Love that Byrdland. Don't forget that Nugent wasn't the only one using a hollow-body guitar to play through a 100-watt amp. Steve Howe used an ES-175 through both Twin Reverbs and Dual Showman (with a pair of 15" speakers) amps used in pairs.
Just so you know I teared up a little bit. Seeing you talk about the loss of your friend. I actually lost 3 friends in a car accident in 2004. So I am right there with you man. We never know when our time is up or how our lives are going to end. Cat Scratch fever! good way to turn things around and keep rockin! Love you guys at Norms. Really glad that by some mystery Guitar of the day, found me. Keep rocking and I ll keep watching. Thank you Lemmo.
It's exciting to see a Byrdland on Guitar of the Day. That's one of the few Gibson guitars I haven't had the pleasure of playing yet and they've always intrigued me. Outstanding musical artistry from Michael Lemmo, as usual.
Hang in there Michael. This world keeps turning. You keep living for your friend. Love your show.
Ted is the master of controlling that Byrdland feedback.Double Live Gonzo!

My ears are ringing, had to listen twice! Real good Lemmo.
This guy plays something fresh every time, I love it!!
As much as I would buy tickets and alums in a second of Lemmo, I can’t imagine him (You) traveling with a list of 25 songs you had to play for the next 20-30 years. Great work!
Another mind blowing 🤯 performance from Lemmo 🤘🏾🔥🎸. Laying down some Nuuge!
Good job Mike, I hope Ted hears your video. It will put a smile on his face also. You rock too Jen!!
Such a nice t-shirt! Great album, great band

I REALLY appreciate you all featuring an archtop. Norm has a great collection of them, and they need to be featured more often on GOTD.
What is the first song he is playing?
Man oh man what a wonderful guitar. What a great picker. Great job Buddy
That was amazing. Guitar of the day. Video of the year.
Was out of commission yesterday so I missed GOTD. What the Hell did you do kid!? Whatever it was, You more than made up for it today, you're Outstanding with that Byrdland!!! Bless Jen's ears, and the ear's of my neighbors, cause that there was some soul stirring, amp howling rock n' roll goodness right there!!! Have a great night, catch you tomorrow for some "Edible" goodness??

@@w13rdguy Thanks for letting me know. Man it's hard when you lose a friend and brother, even when you have years between you of quiet. My sincere condolences, Mr. Lemmo. Never feel afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve, never. The measure of a man isn't how tough he is or how little he cries, but how he is loved by those around him. Sounds to me by reading a bunch of comments that both he, and his friend share an abundance of the later. Thanks again w13rdguy!
NICE...young fella playing some Uncle Ted on a Byrdland!!!
That guitar is stunning, wow! Nice playing, Ted would be proud :-)
SWEET !!! Now I know why Uncle Ted loves it. AND, you did it justice sir!! ROCK ON ...!!!
Thanks again Lemmo for not Playing on a Loop!!! I Loved it when Jen asked you ' should I put my earplugs on? ' and you go ' Oh yes.......yes you should ' you Said that so Creepy like, and I just Laughed my ASS OFF! Oh I wanted to mention that the Lead Riffs for Strangle Hold are much more Difficult than meets the ears. It took me awhile before I could play it note for note, but I Do agree with you that that Byrdland has such great sustain especially for songs like that, Anyways another Great Vid, BIG LOVE TO YOU ALL... JEN......Byeeee 🎸💚
Amazing episode! Wow.
Nice playing!!
All because he said just play. Great way to honor and remember a friend one bad a$$ song at a time! Great inspiration for all us new guitar players!
Awesome!!!
Damn Lemmo, you’re just so killer man. Keep up the great work 🎸⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I've been waiting to see someone do a show featuring The Gibson Byrdland.I guess Uncle Ted don't own them all🎸
Awesome tone. Just awesome. I jammed along on my ES345 :-)
I always come here for the music!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful
Such a beautiful guitar.
You did Ted proud. Beautiful guitar and as usual your playing is fabulous.
Man I'm TELLIN YAS, after I heard Stranglehold I was hoping he'd play Cat Scratch Fever next. AND HE FUCKIN DID! Killer playing mike, I'm in disbelief every time you whale out on a special guitar like this, and amazing videography on Jen's part. I'm surprised she didn't go completely deaf on this one.
Thankyou for all the great times watching guitar of the day at Normans Rare guitars and a special shout out to Jen ......

No it was named for Billy Byrd (who was a country guy) and Hank Garland. Charlie Byrd was a jazz guitarist that played Brazilian and bossy nova, chiefly on nylon string guitars.

What is the asking price for the 61 Byrdland? I love the looks plus the thin body depth. Lemmo did a great demo.
it has that cool twang sound. Clean guitar.
We love you Lemmo ❤️ you're awesome
I love Florentine-cutaway Byrdlands! Always wanted one with L-5 neck dimensions. (25-1/2” scale length, 1-11/16” nut width), but I’d have to go through the Made2Measure department for that-and it would cost an arm and a leg... BTW, the “Byrd” in “Byrdland” isn’t Charlie Byrd; it’s Billy Byrd, who was a Nashville country/jazz player who’s probably best-known for playing with Ernest Tubb. Charlie was a jazz player who’s best-known for playing jazz on a nylon-string classical guitar.
Awesome riffs of Crazy Uncle Ted.
Does anyone know about the super rare narrow spaced polepieces PAF neck pickups that only came on the expensive Gibson jazz guitars ?? I read something about it before and noticed you can see on this guitar the neck pickup spacing different than the the bridge. Do any of you Gibson jazz guitar people know ??
Yes I wanna get one
Thank you for playing the byrdland michael...I am sure ted will add that beauty to his collection.....
Beautiful feedback there at 5.40
Killer guitar. I saw a video of Ted Nugent playing a Byrdland when "I was (just) 10 years old" living in Colorado Springs and thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. My guitar teacher said their were 2 or 3 of them down at Johnny Smith's music store - yes, THAT Johnny Smith. I got my mom to drive me there so I could get my fingerprints all over them. They gladly allowed me to tinker with one - seems like it was a dark wine red color. I kept trying to get the amp to break up playing my shitty haphazard version of Cat Scratch Fever, but the salesman kept saying, "It's not that kind of amp, son." The guitar was way too big (and expensive) for me at the time, but I loved it anyway and I thought to myself, "All the really good players must play these."
LEMMO to the resssscue, great jam man! Turn it up until the cone falls through the grill! #JensLens
Tone!! Stranglehold is right there - the sound/tone/sustain. Not a guitar for everyone but it looks/sounds fantastic. I always wondered what Malcolm Young would have sounded like with one of these.
Hello, Jen. Jen? Jen? Beautiful example of this superb Gibson. But - Charlie Byrd? I have never seen or heard him play anything other than a nylon-strung classical guitar - that was what differentiated him. Moreover, I can't find any reference on the internet as to Charlie ever playing a steel string electric. Somebody please enlighten me, if I'm wrong here. Great playing (of course) Michael.
Amazing guitar I really love watching these videos and learn so much about these instruments. I've always been amazed watching Ted Nugent play the Byrdland since it appears his hands are pretty big but he just wears it out. Fun to watch!!! Would actually like to see Nugent come into the store. Thanks again!!
Byrdland is one of my favorite models. Any time you do a Byrdland it's an automatic Like with me. SGs with P90s too.
Good on ya Michael starting to call the shots around the place.
We love you Mike
I love this dude as a host. His personality makes me stay the guitar playing got me coming back!!
Wow that's beautiful. Even acoustically, those first notes sounded like Hendrix's Highway Chile
Yessssss giveaway guitar of the day!!!!!
