When my father brought home my first guitar more than 55 years ago and when I picked up the banjo 35 years ago there was no Internet or KZread to provide a platform for such kind and generous people such as yourself and many others here on KZread. I'd just like to say thank you for all that you do here for the newer people that want to learn to play the guitar. Your generosity and kindness is simply outstanding, and your gift of the talent that you have, and passing it on to newcomers, will see many new people learn to play. THANK YOU!!

Andy, there is just one word for your courses: Fantastic! I am 57 next month. I have always wanted to play the guitar but never found a good course or someone to explain it to me as simple and clearly as you do. I can never thank you enough for this. Never had lessons before, never played a tune before. I played 2 chords one after another today. My fingertips are in agony but I do not care, because my heart and soul are over the moon. I will follow all your courses. And if there are people out there thinking it is too late for them, tell them about me. Even if I cannot play a proper song yet, now you made me believe that soon I will. Cheers mate.

I can play some Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, and more. This isn't about me and what I can play, this is about motivating you to keep going, and keep practicing. It might seem you'll never get there, but I promise you will. It just takes some dedication and a lot of will. You got this!!!

To me it looks like u put it on the first but u said second string and for me it's too low when I pluck that one vs if I put my finger on the first string and then pluck other than that this is an awesome tutorial. I've played the guitar for many years. Took lessons online, private and on my own with books/Cds. Never got confident in my own playing. If you buy this guys's books and use most of the online content he provides you will get confident in your playing skills. HIs sample songs are fun. I was taught by a hyperactive bluegrass teacher and tha't;s all he focused on, so that was all I could play forever was bluegrass. Andy has a variety of music to practice. Never thought I'd be playing Bruno Mars, Jason Mraz, Buffalo Springfield, Beatles. It's good to open up your vision and mission. He's got some country music on here too, Johnny Cash, etc.
