I listened to a handful of other interpretations, but of course the Brasilians (mostly, I assume) are going to capture the essence of fellow countryman Villa-Lobos more profoundly. This is absolutely the very best of all of them. Brings tears to my eyes and comfort to my heart.

I guess by this logic Germans are best at interpreting Bach and Austrians are best at interpreting Mozart and Italians are best at playing Scarlatti and so on.....just utterly silly statement.

10:49 I blame the mask for the bad intonation and continuous missed notes, his playing feels choked....

his mask has valves, so it's practically useless... somebody should have told him that...
How on earth can one play well wearing those face masks ?
Can't watch this, the mask. Horrible. 😢
