Just finished my first steel string. Making the sounboard was such a worry for me. The only problem is I just bought a new Martin a couple months ago and mine blows it away. I guess I did something right

Just finished my first steel string . Only blues picking suits its twang in the bass . This was intentional but I went too far . Second time's the charm ? Peace ✌

That’s what I was thinking. Twenty years ago I did a D-28 kit from Stew-Mac, I was 47 then, and have always meant to build another acoustic from scratch. It’s still playing well though it looks about my age. After doing a couple electrics and maintenance on family and friends guitars I’m finally building an OM from scratch. Now at 67 soon 68 do I have time to get it right? I’m about to do the rosette, committing to cutting into the top is tough even though I’ve tested multiple times on scrap I’m wicked nervous about doing the top.

You have time for 1500 if you make the time. You are capable of anything you try. But you need to do. There is no try as Yoda said. lol
