I own two male guinea pigs, and they are both very loud the first time they met. They were actually not very aggressive. They were very peaceful to each other, and now they run around the cage happily.

I’m so very pleased for you that they all bonded so well. I was laughing so much at Callie chasing Nacho. Thank you so much for sharing your film of your beautiful piggies x

So we've just got 2 baby piggies 12 weeks old, and been watching your videos on all the questions I've thought about asking, we've now realised that the habitat you have for yours is definitely a better idea than what we purchased for ours so we will be changing ours when we can, luckily we have a covered decking area and they have lots of space to run around during the day and only spend evenings in the cage. Just want to say a big thank you for your very helpful videos as my daughter didn't understand how you can't just pick them up constantly and they need time and patience ❤

What a lot of excitement, I can remember when I introduced a male to my girls, he went mad humping and chasing them after he had been alone for weeks. It all worked out very well and from what I have seen in this video I’m sure your piggies will become great friends with Nacho.🥰xx

How wonderful! Nacho seems like he really loves his new herd. I have a spunky little white Abbyssinian named Snowball who was similarly found on her own, outside, severely underweight and frostbitten. She's pretty bossy and likes to be in charge and steal food a lot - I think she learned the behavior from her initial owners who dumped her. When I introduced her to Meatball, a big goofy boar who was twice her size at the time, it was really amazing watching her take charge, rumbling across the cage, running up to him and popcorning, and even chasing him around a little. Often you'll see Meatball sitting in a hidey watching her as she frantically does laps around the cage. They've settled down nicely but they have an amusing pattern of behavior where Snowball will run off and hide any veggies I give her, then come and steal Meatball's. Meatball will sometimes play keep-away but often he just asks me for more. Sometimes I'll give Meatball a slice of cucumber, let Snowball steal it, and then give Meatball another slice of cucumber while she's eating it. He doesn't seem to mind, and I'm not convinced he always notices when Snowball took it from him. Snowball, meanwhile, has gained quite a bit of weight...

This is so lovely to see, I’m in the exact same position. We had a single male who’s just been bonded with 2 females at our local rescue! Picking all 3 up tomorrow I’m super excited. Love watching all your vids and Nacho is just so funny!

That's so smart she to bond with pigs from a rescue because they can find out guinea pigs that fit together.

I could have used this video months ago. No video ever showed the tension between piggies as being normal. Intervention was my mantra because I thought they were attacking each other. Then I figured out to let them figure it out and I now have two bonded males (after a year of being neighbors). I love Nacho and the girls and with a Mum like you, I know they will be best friends.

Brilliant - reminded me of when I introduced a 9 month neutered boar to my two 3yr old girls...... can confirm being neutered does not change the behaviour of a boar. When the girls came into season it was manic....😮😂 and they definitely encouraged him. Certainly made me hope the neutering worked 100%. The girls are over 4 yrs old now so I don't think they come into season anymore as it's been quite a while since I've seen the rampant behaviour 😊

Happy with how that went. Yay for the herd! I have two males, who are intact. They have a 2 story c&c cage that I call their townhouse. Every so often the submissive male lunges at the dominant because he's tired of getting mounted. They've never hurt each other, though. We took 3 days with only a few hours together before putting them in the same cage. They do quite well and are mostly happy. They are Eddie Murphy and Freddie Mercury.

Thank you so much, I can't tell you how helpful this has been. I also rescued an abandoned male guinea pig right around the time that you got nacho. I neutered him a week after your video on neutering came out, it was your video that made up my mind that that was the right thing to do for him because I only had female guinea pigs. Now, I'm introducing him to them in about a week and a half! I'm so excited, and I'll definitely be coming back to this video to remind myself what behaviors are normal

Day one of our bonding was tough. The new boy had been bullied by girls so he was terrified of my girl. Two days later I caught her cleaning his face!

I miss pedro so much, i hope nacho loves the pigges just as much as pedro loved Lyra Phoebe Roxy and callie. Miss you lyra❤ i just wish pedro and the others got a chance to meet lola annie willow (Phoebe and roxy did) Sprite and pixie. I miss them all so much❤ love you piggies❤

So glad it seemed to go well. I held my breath a few times. My goodness, Nacho certainly tried to be *ahem* overly "frisky" with the girls. Hopefully he gets that out of his system. Cute how Callie hid for a while to keep out of the way. Hopefully things with the bonding continue to go smoothly. Nacho looks like a curly haired Tribble (Star Trek reference)

I was so looking forward to nacho meeting the girls. I was really happy they seemed to do really well together. It was hilarious watching all the mounting he did but also sweet. Roxy really surprised me with her mounting him, and pretty little Callie girl hiding from him was funny. He really seems to like that pretty girl. All in all I would consider it a success. I love that Nacho finally got some buddies and someone to run around with. I have had my two boys for about a year now and getting them to bond was hard I had to separate them a couple of times because they were being a bit to aggressive with one another but then would not be happy without one another. Your videos have help so much in making sure I give them the best life possible thank you and best wishes to your herd.

This reminds me a little of bonding Mr Meatball and his girlfriend Cream-cheese, Meatball had been on his own for a while due to medical reasons then a failed bonding attempt with a male which resulted in a divided cage. Had both males snipped and got them both girlfriends the other lad was so gentle with his lady friend very similar to Pedro. However, Meatball would not stop mounting his new lady friend she looked so traumatised!

I wish my first introduction went this well, but there was a lot of launching and teeth chattering (so it didn’t work). My second bonding went a lot better, but one of my girls are still mean to my newest piggie, even though I’ve had her for almost 7 months now! (Nacho looks like a little mop running around lol)

I was super surprised too! I was full on expecting to have to break up near misses, I'm so relieved! I too have experienced what seems like ongoing bullying and found the best way (other than splitting them up) was to made the cage bigger and make sure the bullied pig has areas she can use in piece and not be stopped from accessing food/hay etc. Things should get easier as they age too.

@@SqueakDreams yes, she still is pretty young, I think she’s almost 1 year old. There’s nothing serious going on, she just gets kicked out of hideys a lot and chased away sometimes.
