Very nice! I just picked up a nearly new all stock 261. Guilty of Treeson has a fantastic channel. You can tell, he is a genuine, good man.

As a lefty I concur that every saw should come with a full or 3/4 wrap.

Hell, Im a righty, and I think that full wrap should be the default setup.

If you use a saw left handed you use it wrong.

@@alexstromberg7696 I use it in whichever manner gives me the the best control of the saw for the job at hand. When I do use it left handed, my leg and other body parts are out of plane with the bar. So with all due respect, you are wrong and your opinion is just that.. an opinion.

We need more brace men like Met Fleming all the other brave safety police and freedom marshals lucky for us they are willing to never leave there grandmas basement and spend every waking moment at there post behind the keyboard trolling KZread and keeping an eye out for highly talented guys like John Custom Saws oh crap I meant highly dangerous I mean yeah John Custom Saw produces some of the best production saws out there and getting your hands one of his saws seems to be damn near impossible and sure he has spent his entire adult life working his ass off and a ungodly amount of hours turning wrenches. Somehow he finds the time between building saws running a business and raising a family to make saw porn for us and share his wealth of knowledge.John’s business keeps the lights on food on the table and roof over his family’s head but none that shit matters you be running around like you live free country thinking you can do whatever u want in your workshop luckily Matt Fleming Safety police and Freedom Marshal has most likely saved a life today. That saw is extremely dangerous just because a highly talented contract climber with years of experience handling chainsaws wants a one of a kind custom handle you can’t just show off ur talent like that people can die what if Jacob wakes up tomorrow and is left handed huh John what then did u build him a left handle saw too John I mean what if Jacob’s sister had a dick John what then is that his brother now u didn’t think about that dis u John is Jacob’s sister/ brother left handed or right handed John? I had a 361 3/4 wrap I was gonna try to fit on a 261.. I never did and now I wish I had lol 😆 because that looks pretty friggin rad. Nice job 👍

Love both my 261 and 261M. Took your advice and did the Redbeard filter and the simple WCS muffler mod port. Huge difference with just two bolt ons.

I have vintage 015 & 031 that I would love to have John port and get running like new. Both run great now, but with ports (if it is justified) would be great. The 015 was dead for years, then I put in an electronic-ignition module and rebuilt the carburetor. Runs better than new. The 031 is stock that I bought up in the Seattle area back in the early 90's. It has always run great, but would like to see what it can do ported. I am "borrowing" a ported MS461R for big stuff - what a monster!

You might want to add a deflector, similar to the one that comes with the 500i, as I’ve noticed the handle gets hot from the cylinder heat. Might not matter since it shimmed out

Had an idea watching this, what if you used road bike handlebar cushioned tape??? It would be brilliant for a full wrap! Bontarageur (*spelling) makes excellent wraps and it would be brilliant to use. Just a thought, I might do it to one of my junk saws to make sure it works how I'm envisioning

Oh! I noticed that John has/had a 015 on the top shelf in his shop in one of his videos (porting the 200T and/or 461?) with Jacob.

I'm about to get a 261, I want that 1. That is a bad ass saw for an old guy. Without the wrap, I might just go with another 250.

A full wrap has the handle extend under the saw, not as popular these days.

After 2 min in I had to shut it off the dialog was killing me. Over and over again same words.

To tell you the truth, I have the 261 and my echo 590 which is the cheap 620 out runs my Stihl all day long, I know it's bigger but forgot that, it just runs so much nicer
