I love how her arms float down slowly after the lift, they really look like wings.

I've seen many ballerinas perform this role and I've seen Sylvie perform many roles, but never this role, til now! I knew she'd stand out from the group and with elements that would add a unique and fresh look to the dance! She reigned supreme!

I like the slowness and her arms are so wonderful. I saw Sylvie in something modern and contortionist and thought I didn't like her. I am glad I watched this. Thank you.

SYLVIE G!!! My generation!👏👏👏🌷🌷🌷SERVE IT FOR THEM QUEEN! I'm learning that imo "Marianela Nunez" (another fav) may not have the same "leg extensions" per se However M.N. DEFINITELY has similar technical control and a stylized understanding of the body in movement with this role!🙌

Hallelujah! Somebody who KNOWS how to use her super extension wisely! It always bothers me present day ballerinas doing that frontal 180 dg split. It is just not attractive. A side 180 is lovely. A frontal 180 is just jarring. Notice how she never hits the perfect 180. There is just a slight inclination to the legs and it makes so much more harmonious. She makes such an elegant swan.

She is at the origin of these extensions, apart from Nadejda Pavlova a couple of years before. And she worked on her hyper supernatural coming from outspace flexibility. Have a look on some footage when she s 19. Her legs were flying in the air as well as her smile enlightened her beautiful face. She controlled more and more her incredible body. At 22 (her age here) she was at the beginning of her perfect perfection.
