We all do our part, but they are just gold sellers now on MMO market.. Sad stuff.. They run bots to farm their goodies, sell ambers and ectos.. You cant make this up.. & their reasoning is "it keeps the game alive" lmoaoooo bunch of delusional people who are all whack & narcists

@@olgaknowsbestofficial I'm preaching to the quire brother, they need to ban the bots and the gold sellers.... And I can provide names and accounts. But a remastered relaunch of this would be remarkable.. But the game's nearly 20 years old.

@@olgaknowsbestofficial I know the Guys who actually run those nuke/mesmer bots.. You cannot win against them.. They are the underground bulk sellers of the game.. I have clips from when I was streaming on twitch.. They pretty much control AB & will give people 0 chances.. Just greed on greed.. You should see this one dude who spends 10+ years farming DOA and sells every gem he gets.. It's just cringe you have no idea. I respect the players who play legitimately but this game is just a graceful disappointment.. Most toxic community.. If you suck then you get blasted.. People give you 0 room for mistakes & you get bashed hardcore.

@@olgaknowsbestofficial I haven't played for almost 2 years, college and doing a 180 in life has just been a positive impact on my life.. I think someone actually needs to sit down and just use the same models the game provides & just change everything.. I can imagine what it would be like, but brother.. I just don't have the time anymore..

@@olgaknowsbestofficial I had a clan try extort me out of the community based on their attempts to blame me for "making fun of a disabled person." you have no idea how sick these people are. Regardless I love the game for what it is, the community and the players have just reverted to "staying in groups" I'm not gonna bust a nut complaining about it..

Great video Peter. I love your Guild Wars guides, especially the profession guides. I think after this video I need to spend more time on my Ele. :D Thank you for your entertaining videos.

You know someone is an OG GW player when they say "chars" instead of "toons". Respect! Hate them called toons, thanks WoW, lol. Also, great video! Well-explained insight and makes me reconsider making an Ele again.

Have fun! You probably already know this but the prophecies campaign is quite slow in levelling so it's recommended usually to start in Nightfall to get heroes, then go play prophecies for the story without the slow levelling between missions. You won't need a lot of deep build help early on, only once you want to start doing hard mode content or level 20 content in later campaign missions. Simply doing more campaign missions and getting more heroes is all you really need to do early, because campaign missions move you around the cities which give you access to the skill trainers and farming locations you'll need later.

Elementalist is also my main character. I played it as a mesmer many times.

Runes are always depend on what build you'll use :) Generally speaking, for ele the headpiece is to change: fire builds --> fire +1+3, air magic build --> air+1+3 etc, etc. Then you should add a vigor to get some more hp and a minor energy storage rune and fill the leftover armor pieces with either survivor/radiant insignias. If you stop the vid at the builds, you can take a look at the runes I've put on my ele.

I've always hated playing ele, fire has big damage but long cast times. I took the time to build craft and now it is probably my favorite melee class even more than derv. I use conjured sword with double dragon and adrenaline sword skills (sunspear one and attack twice one) for good aoe and single target. Not as good at spiking like derv but more consistent and stronger than hundred blades.

I like trying to come up with multi-elemental builds, or team builds that revolve around burning. Most Ele builds are kind of similar in style but you can diversify the effects so much. A fun profession for sure b

glyph of lesser energy is great for energy management + a bip necro will give you extra energy regen once your energy drops sub 50%

need to be 'ascended' in Prophecies, must complete Augury Rock, in Factions its Nahpui Quarter and in Nightfall its the first quest on the big island(Hunted iirc), once you have done it, go to Great Tempke of Balthasar and switch profession at the Profession Changer npc

Ele was my first char when the game released played it for a couple years, my biggest tip for any new players is: *DONT PICK THIS SHIT* You think you're having fun but you're not, it's a fulltime job and you're constantly getting nerfed because of the 1%.

Ele is just better then every class and it's ruins guild wars pvp for me. Let alone all the bots running around spamming air magic
