It seems like a warrior ability or set of abilities that trigger once you build enough resource, and they get a couple unique weapon skins to go with. I don't think we're getting a new weapon type in the game, do you?

@@CedgeDC yeah, definitely not a new weapon type JUST FOR ONE CLASS AND ONE ELITE SPEC. I expect it to be something like Holosmith's Photon Forge, where you can switch anytime, except you can switch once you have full class-specific-resource

@@gewreid5946 nah man, listen to the trailer again. That "gunblade" is a long sword aka simple sword. I think when u have full adrenalin you turn it on and get that gun blade while adrenalin lasts, when it expires you sheeth it and go back to sword/gun and some other second weapon you chose

@@Kirin122 Nah man, watch the trailer again. That gunblade looks way more than a gs in terms of size and how it's wielded than a one handed sword. You even see the direct comparison in the trailer between the gunsword and (short)sword/pistol.

I had very low expectations for warrior's elite spec (my main), but this was a pleasant surprise, good one Anet, I'm excited for the next beta event.

*Warrior figthing any of the new specs with old school greatsword. -New specs: That all you got? *Warrior proceeds to unsheat a cooler, even more amasing greatsword.

I have a feeling I know what the mechanic is here. Warrior will now be restricted to one equippable weapon set, but they can switch to the gunsabre as an alternate weapon. I could see it as a warrior version on the engineer kit.

I could alternatively see this as something similar to Berzerker, you build Adrenaline to enter shooty sword mode, which then lasts for a set amount of time.

@@frickxnas You get 3 keys by completing the personal story with the level 60 one called "the battle of the Claw island", then 1 key for living world season 2 episode 6 and then possibly a some more for completing maps.

Now, this was unexpected!! Nice job!

Looks nice! The pistol in the offhand was a pleasant surprise! Kind of reminds me of a warrior/engi mixed together! Will definitely try it, nothing more fun then plowing your way through mobs in GW2! :-)

Yeah but the whole "mixing together" only sounds nice on paper, and hasn't really worked in practice. It's why Harbinger and Willbender have so many issues. It'd be better if they picked one idea and just did that really well, instead of half-assing two things and mashing them together. This could've been a great Engineer spec, or a great Warrior spec, but they really should've just settled with a singular identity. Take my "I told you so" in advance for when the elite spec beta comes out, and you'll see how it'll either have different collections of nice ideas that don't go well together, or feel half-baked compared to how far they could've (and arguably should've) been pushed for maximum fun factor or usefulness if it had a singular identity.

I'm hyped for this one. Looks great.

All the heavy armor classes get a sword of some sort this expansion. Love it!

I swear this class scream Charr so bad, it scratches my "mechanized warrior" itch and absolutely love it

Now I share everyone's excitement this was by far the best trailer. I main all the heavy classes but have since now steered towards guardian and rev. Well now there is a new sheriff in town

Warrior was always good no matter how bad it was :), im still worrried about some HoT and pof specs that are to powercreeped compared with the slower combat of the new elite specs, while this classes do a atack animation some from past already did a full bar of skills lol... WB was awfully weak cant even reach to target if target is a decent or medium player...i could use a full combo before the WB reched me :P

Lets wait and see what this actually does, warrior has too many weaknesses currently. For starters the 3 single hand weapons suck, so pistol would have to make up for a lot with only 2 skills. Transformation might or might not be good, lets remain caucious.

Totally into it. Though I would be surprised if the gunsaber is a new weapon type based on the last line about off-hand pistols. Maybe it's a shroud or kit-like ability instead.

Gun blades, ftw!!! That’s a way to make a specialization. Have to create a new character just to play this, already have a max Revenant, but I'm excited to see this, going to have to use one of my LVL 80 boosters for this though.

The final winner is warrior, I will play it even with decent performance in any game mod! I love the specializations !

Unless you are aiming for the highest scores in this Guild Wars 2, you can really bring any kind of build to any kind of gamemode. It makes the game more challenging and novel.

I think this has to be the best spec released so far it’s unique to the class and the game.

That is such a cool idea, i'm guessing it's going to work like a kit, with it basically being like a sword/ pistol build with the gun sabre as a kit, but that looks absolutely nuts!

I swear it's been 3 weeks since I began playing GW2 on my xiv break and Anet are already teasing me with both my mains from the latter
