Guided Meditation with Thich Nhat Hanh

Thích Nhất Hạnh born as Nguyen Xuan Bao on October 11, 1926 is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk and peace activist. He lives in Plum Village in the Dordogne region in the south of France, travelling internationally to give retreats and talks. He coined the term "Engaged Buddhism" in his book Vietnam: Lotus in a Sea of Fire. A long-term exile, he was given permission to make his first return trip to Vietnam in 2005. Nhất Hạnh has published more than 100 books, including more than 40 in English. He is active in the peace movement, promoting non-violent solutions to conflict and he also refrains from animal product consumption as a means of non-violence towards non-human animals.

This particular audio has been a companion to me for several years, thanks perhaps to this upload on KZread. I downloaded this to my phone some years ago, and it has played continuously over and over many days, for years since. I imagine I may have heard this audio 1000 times or more. So much so that I could recite nearly all the words by my memory. It has "saved my life" endless times. Not necessarily in the literal sense, but it has "brought me back to life," made me aware that I am alive and that there is good in the world, more times than I can count. Thank you so so much to Thay, Thich Nhat Hanh, I don't know where I would be without you, and thank you so much to the uploader for making this available, the impact you have had on my darkest days has been immeasurable. Thank You.

I have come back to this guided meditation time after time over the years. I return to it today on the day of the venerable master's passing. You were a light-infused being on this planet and we were lucky to have you whilst you were with us. Just as you say in this guidance - you are now in your true home, and I can tell you are serene. So grateful to have your words, writings, and all of your work left on this planet as your beautiful legacy. Thank you deeply master Hanh.

I will never forget those words that rang in my ears that day. I just wish this teacher knew what he did for me.

Cheryl Klopf, I also have COPD. Just started on home oxygen as needed. Have had 2 terrible loss of breath yesterday and a week ago. So frightened. My pulse oximeter read 73! So scared. Used oxygen and finally got up to 94 and calmed down. I just started following Thich Nhat Hanh. I am so happy you wrote. It means the world to me that not only do you understand the COPD, but that you and I have met through this site. It was meant to be, I am sure. Perhaps we can go to "school " together and help others. Gentle hugs, Joyce Stewart, Toronto, Canada

Sitting in silence alone or with a group: Practice mindfulness. In - out (This is a celebration of life); deep - slow (smile); calm - ease; smile - release (Letting go is loving kindness); present moment - wonderful moment (Life is a miracle!). And walking mindfully we can listen to lungs and kiss the earth with feet: oui oui oui - merci merci merci We must go in the direction of life...Looking deeply we see both the pain and the wonders of life. We connect with the conditions for joy. A practitioner without a sangha is like a tiger who has left his/her mountain. We all have tendency to be forgetful. Mindfulness is the opposite. With mindfulness we can connect with our eyes, our heart, joy, calm, peace... Everything around us. In such way we can gain freshness. We can build community...find peace.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, you set the solitary in families: We commend to your continual care the homes in which your people dwell. Put far from them, we pray, every root of bitterness, the desire of vainglory, and the pride of life. Fill them with faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness. Knit together in constant affection those who, in holy wedlock, have been made one flesh. Turn the hearts of the parents to the children, and the hearts of the children to the parents; and so enkindle fervent charity among us all, that we may evermore be kindly affectioned one to another; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Love, truth, peace, freedom, justice, equality Wholeness balance vibrations . Blessing thich much appreciation! Your work continues on Name comes under the 14th Amendment as a fiction, a corporate citizen or member jurisdiction. The 14th Amendment, although NOT ratified, was established under the jurisdiction of a corporate state, for and referring to corporations from its inception and never meant for natural beings, therefore any 'person' answering to it, is potentially corporate state chattel property with NO RIGHTS to be acknowledged. Those instruments are in themselves proof of human slavery or human trafficking. Could it be anything failing to be questioned or counterclaimed stands as true in a court of Law? If someone says the name you allegedly use is being charged by The Claimant and/or owes The Claimant, why volunteer to be the name by claiming to be it, or volunteer to accept liability for the name by claiming to own it? “It is a fault to meddle with what does not belong to or does not concern you.” Common Sense section of above linked Maxims Could it be that without firsthand testimony from The Claimant, any claim that The Claimant is saying or doing anything is a lie? Can anyone really be an officer, agent or a representative of The Claimant, unless told firsthand by The Claimant? Can anyone use authority granted by The Claimant, act on behalf of The Claimant, do anything for The Claimant etc without hearing it firsthand from The Claimant? Can anyone know what The Claimant’s laws, codes, statues are, unless told firsthand by The Claimant? Could it be that putting up surety is required to make a claim before a so-called court, yet the so-called prosecutor and officers have failed to do so? Could it be that you’re being tested to see if you believe the alleged Claimant is an “Entity” and/or “Physical Location” (yet also capable of doing shit, like making claims)?will claim to be or own the so-called legal name?can stay on point of what’s being claimed? Could it be that without a Claimant, there fails to be a controversy for the so-called court to settle?
