They really need to make a Predator RPG, we already have the lore and everything for this idea of a great game and plus growing up as predator and picking clans and joining or going rouge and hunted or becoming the hunter, this RPG would be an amazing.

@@anomunousfugc8034 It's really a shame, because unless a AAA studio was to do it, for no other reason than they're fans, it'll never happen. it just seems like every time someone attempts something with AVP recently it bombs, hunting grounds with predator in it... is a step in the right direction... but being epic elusive hurts it's potential. hell, I'd settle for a left 4 dead style survival game set in the aliens world, some of my favorite moments in the original AVP were coop games as predator fighting aliens and helping the marines if they didin't shoot me firstl

I would love for you to direct a Predator film, ur knowledge of Yautja is impeccable

There was a novel I read that had 2 clans working together on a hunt on a planet that was being colonised by humans. The 2 clans were not together by choice however and there was conflict among them due to the methods each clan used for hunting. They were not bad bloods though. I can't remember all the names but there was a female named Prancer and a male named Bhet'Kahr. Thought I may have seen it on the list but it wasn't there. It was a pretty good book and I've always been fascinated by Predator lore. Great video!

I had zero idea about the background of these characters... Which makes me feel that the existing Predator movies haven’t even scratched the surface nor payed service to this awesome character concept!!

Personally it is really difficult to cultivate all lore and mythology of the Predators with the changing or writers and material. Forever midnight is a perfect example.

That one is so far removed from the established lore I just ignore it. It doesn't help that the writer apparently knew nothing about Predator and didn't bother studying before writing the book.

@@lostdream6875 I hope it's good. Have you read Predator: Hunters and Hunted? It's the official prequel to Predator 4. The story is honestly so good it should have been used as the movie. Takes it back to its roots with the suspense and action, even changing the formula a little bit without breaking the lore like Pred 4 tried to.

Very good work! I'm a big fan of the lore of the Yautja, so this was an epic video to watch.

@@SchizoFenikChannel in the lore I remember was he was a clan leader whose clan all died out long ago since there home world was dieing and he was in his own exile for his clans death, civil war I think. But he only went on that hunt cause of how Sirius a predalien is for the whole universe. An to gain honor for his tribe, but it's been a long time since I read tht one from requiem, I think the info is in the special features. But I'm unsure, if this info wrong then I'm sorry, but this is my memory of what I learned bout it.

Idk about the “isolated clan” I don’t think the ancient or elder predator from the mother ship was apart of them, Or maybe all of them on the ship were apart of a huge clan, but I think he was merely overseeing their trial to become blooded. I wouldn’t consider the 3 prospect predators participating as a clan but rather teammates in a challenge to become blooded 😇 Also I think they had gear suited for the environment because I imagine all predators do that before a hunt or trial. Just a thought though

Yes your comment about the Elder is highly possible. Whilst doing the research for this I noticed that a lot of clans break off into small packs so what we initially might think are clans are actually small groups of one larger unit. Young blood Preadators your referring to on a initiation hunt in AVP (2004) were actually all brothers so they are definitely from the same clan. Ancient and Elder are different ranks and responsibilities (Ancients are part of their own clan which is council) and position I'm inclined to believe it was Elder overseeing the hunt.

For hearing them called predator for so long, I was glad to hear them called by a real name! Yautja! I was a young man when I watched the first predator movie back in the 80's, and have been amazed ever since! Schizofenik, I think you have done an excellent job putting this video together, very well done! I've seen other video on the Yautja, some I didn't remember the names of and some by a guy named Mr.H, his are good too, maybe you should look him up. I also like your narrating voice! I seen some more KZread video that had female Yautja, I thought was pretty cool! But could you imagine a humanoid like being nine to twelve foot tall, man! It's like when you see them standing alone you don't really get it until you see them standing next to someone else! I've seen photo of some of the tallest people in the world video, their amazing! I can only imagine the difficulty in making this video, as the info is spread like crazy between the toys and comics, and some doesn't exactly connect well or give enough info. But I'm glad you took the time anyways and made sense of it all as best you can. Keep up the great work. I have my fingers crossed that someday the films will go back to the glory days of the first 2 films, hell maybe even adapt some of your ideas, like the whale hunters video you did. Although I'm a huge Predator/ Yautja aficionado but, I think that there are other Yautja who are not members of any hunter clans. Those Yautja are most likely the politicians, scientists, engineers, and civilians but, of course there is a grand council with clan representatives who dictate the rules of the hunt. Might of fact I wouldn't doubt that there are Yautja who are against and very vocal about the hunting sentient beings.

Honestly I think the video is great just the way it is

This was absolutely outstanding, and the most comprehensive video I've ever seen on the subject! Very well done, indeed! Thank you! If it's any help, there were a number of Kenner Predators that were later remade and given backstories by NECA, and you covered most of them. As for the ones you didn't mention, I'm guessing it's because they didn't seem to fit anywhere. The Predator Clan Leader, for example, has been described as the overall ruler of Yautja Prime. Ghost Predator (originally done in a 10"-scale 2-Pack with an Alien Warrior, and later as a NECA stand-alone figure) was pegged as a loner, and Night Recon Predator (from the Hive Wars line) has largely been forgotten. And Viper later became synonymous with Ambush Predator when he was given the Ambush armour and cloaking system to become a more effective enforcer. Then there's the question of the not-officially-named (that I know of) group that is the catalyst for the . . . less-than-excellent movie from 2018, to put it politely. If you're going to count them, their propensity for genetic tinkering puts them wildly at odds with main Yautja culture as it's been portrayed so far, so I'm guessing they've been branded as "Bad Bloods." To save me the effort of calling them "That Group of Predators From The Ridiculous 2018 Film That Made the Super Giant Mighty Morphing Assassin Predator," every time I bring them up -- and I try not to -- I just refer to them as "The Flesh-Sculptor Clan."

Great video learned a great deal, btw your forgot to mention Ancient Preadators also responsible some of the Yautja Laws created and in charge of Enforcers. (specialise in hunting bad blood Preadators). Sub-rank which is Leader then Adjuntant who second in command and answer to them.

I was curious where does Yautja names come from? Are those from comics?

Elite Clan and Jungle Hunter Clan are my favorite.

What I got from this video is that Yautja are in DIRE need of new names. After the 10th Elder and 20th Hunter, you lose track of who's who.

@Schizofenik - are you able to comment on the Predator Warrior from the original Batman vs Predator? He was definitely a seasoned champion Predator, but he was extremely ruthless, killing ANYONE and everything that posed as a challenge (and he even killed a random dog and cat...). In the comic, he killed mob bosses, boxing champs, boxers, police, basically anyone who was a challenger.

My favorite Clans is the Elit Clan were the best hunters come from för example Dark, Spartan and Wolf. And the Tartarus Clan cause it is so cool.

I think you can argue that the shot in the back of the head had an effect on the feral predators battle prowess? No matter if it’s a yautja or not.

My favorite is the Jungle Hunters but my favorite predator is the Ancient Elder Predator and also I like the Wolf Predator from AvP: Requim
