The original track, from the Hill End side, actually started off Reef Street. What is now the beginning (or maybe end, depending on your direction of travel) of the Bridle Track is a later addition. A lot of people look at the signs warning to not take trailers along the track as a challenge. In actual fact it's because if two vehicles meet, head on, on a single lane section of the track, for safety's sake the vehicle heading downhill has to reverse back uphill until there is enough room for the other vehicle to pass. Not many people are good enough to do that with a trailer on some of those very tight corners.

16:55 I camp down at that spot maybe twice a year and I always put aside my first day to cleaning the area up, bagging the rubbish to drop it off at Hill End tip on the way home.

Very nice video mate, thank you. Found it starting my research of "easy" tracks to take my Subaru AWD to - don't think it'll make it through this path but was still a pleasure to watch. If you could recommend an easier track that one could do in a Subaru Outback Sport, I'd appreciate it.

Is the track suitable for 4WD without a snorkel? Nice work cleaning up and taking some pride in the area I wish all campers had the same respect that you guys showed.

  • @toddy4x4photography

The main track itself does not require a snorkel and is almost 2wd accessible. The root Hog crossing(which is a diversion off the main track) requires a 4wd and a snorkel would be advisable. Thanks. If we get everyone doing the same then these places should look pristine.
