Thanks for the video, how did you setup the public data source with API url end point and dealing with the common challenges or errors of getting the data passed into grafana?

In this example, I used TimescaleDB, an open-source time-series data base, as my data source. Depending on your requirements there are many ways to get data into TimescaleDB. Feel free to reach out on Slack (slack.timescale.com) with more information and I'd be happy to talk you through various options for ingesting and querying data

Hi, very nice video, however i´m struggeling to get the variable to work, i have some customers in a table (Mysql) wich displays nicely in the variables setting and the panel with the simple query in variables..: SELECT CUSTOMERS FROM SENSOR_DATA, and the variable name CUSTOMER, how can i in the WHERE clause, make grafana understand to switch between customers? Best regards /A ....Ps -keep up the good work with the videos :-)

Hi Reza, this webinar is focused on PostgreSQL. Much of the mechanics of working with Grafana applies, but your data source will be SQL server, not PostgreSQL

You’ll have to ask Google about that, this video is mostly about Postgres data sources

I am using grafana v7.1.5 but I don't have options of grafana that you are using. That means after adding panel I am not getting option as "choose visualization".

Hi Anita, Grafana 7 has some UI changes but the principle remains the same. Instead of "Choose visualization", you'll select the "Visualization" drop down from the side menu. You can create any sort of graph and then change the visual type using this method. Hope this helps!
