Skills I have acquired over a very long career of playing Dead by Daylight. Skills that make me a nightmare for selfish survivors like you. If you start doing gens now that'll be the end of it. • @Predated2

    3 жыл бұрын

Fun fact about self-care, its actually better to use a medkit with the perk than rely on the perk to heal you. That 20% efficiency means 20% less charges used for a single heal. Meaning you need about 13 charges for a single heal. Add in 1 or 2 great skillchecks, and you have only 8 charges per heal. Once that medkit is gone, most of your teammates are likely dead and then it would actually be good enough on its own. Self-care is extremely powerful during endgame(especially if there is no way for the killer to instadown), but it will absolutely destroy survivors who use it early game. In its current usage, self-care is considered a killer perk, but when used right, it can be more devastating to a killer than a DS while the gates are opened.

Fun fact: although getting healed by someone else takes 16s, u're wasting the time of 2 survivors and if both of u worked on a gen for that time, the result would be equivalent to one survivor working on that gen for around 30s bc there's a penalty when there are multiple survs working on the same gen (if nobody has prove thyself). So if u dont get interrupted by the killer while self healing, it would be theorically better to heal yourself + u dont have to actually find someone to heal you. That being said, the risk of getting caught while self healing is relatively high compared with normal healing, making this perk useless and a perk slot waste. Also, u could self heal with a medkit as fast as if someone was healing you and even tho it does has limited use, survivors dont usually get injured and healed enough times in a single match for it to be an inconvenience.

Use self-care while your waiting for the killer to move away from the survivor who they hooked. One they are away go for the save and then they can heal you the rest of the way so basically just use it while your waiting for the killer to move or your waiting for a blind. A good build for it is Built to last Self-care bottony knowledge and adrenaline (built to last can be changed for press E to become exhausted on the ground)

Thanks to how much youtube I'd watched, I was countering Spine Chill within my first couple killer games. Because some survivors get so reliant on Spine Chill they let the heartbeat get loud af but still don't leave because they think if the killer isn't looking they must be fine! As killer you just face away while approaching - This does run the risk of you not being able to see the survivor if they make a move, but I've literally walked within grabbing distance with some lol. Especially tier 1 Myers if you come at the right angle facing away.

eh. maybe if you're running Resilience and want to be faster on gens, but you can be more easily looped by the killer if you wait until you're about to get hit since the killer can track you unless you have Iron Will. plus, it can backfire if your heal takes too long. that wouldn't be the first strategy I would use. if I was running Resilience, I would 99% then finish the heal as soon as I know the killer is certainly coming to interrupt my gen

5:55 and that's the problem with sprint burst is being caught with it on cooldown, if you sprint to a gen at the start of the match the killer's most likely patrolling and will be at the gen you're working on within 40 seconds, it's always a risk. Honestly I feel like people act like sprint burst is infallible or doesn't have drawbacks. You're weighing the pros of not being caught off guard at generators with the con of either walking or risk being caught without it.

Otz its absolutely right, with urban make sure youre focusing on what you need to be doing and not crouching everywhere. Personally the reason I use urban is for 2 reasons, otz mentioned one. The other is so I can get close to the hook tile quickly and stealthily, putting myself in position for a safe rescue. The exception is if the chase is far away. Focus on the generator. Ive used urban for a long time, but I recently started trying other builds. Killers are using their ears more.

I cannot wait to hear you talk about Urban Evasion. Commenting this before I watch to see if I'm making a mistake using it, but I mainly use it as a way to unhook. I get close to a hook where a killer is going to hook a survivor and use the increase crouch mobility to stay hidden when the killer is searching the area before leaving. So many people try to flame me for crouch walking the map when they see I have evasion and I literally never do this, so I'm going to assume that's what you're going to talk about is the incorrect way to use it.
