    21:12 - In the music. The moment you own it you better never let it go. You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once every 10 seconds.

    It's hilarious seeing people take ults and never land them in the game. Has imperius ever landed an ult? has cassia ever landed an ult? I think closest imperius got was at 21:50 casting it from brush cass actually hits it at 23:05 so kudos? It was completely free (and I think Grubby would have died anyways even if it missed unless he used malice away from dragon breath after chrono which is a gamble) ranked hots skill disparity is real

    Every time someone complaining hots and dota 2, there is one who saying that hots easier then dota 2. That's not true for sure because these games are competitive games, so maybe you will start play hots easier, but that doesn't mean it's easier to win, because there are also other people who did that.

    Can someone help me understand what happened, at 3:37 he follows Casia, then when his cursor is towards the right he hits her with chains without aiming at her. How do you do that?

  • @stiefellus

    @stiefellus

    Жыл бұрын

    The cursor was there when he clicked e (chain) and he then snapped the mouse to the right. Once the hero got Hit with the chain you have some time to apply the "loose end" to another hero or his glacial Spike (which he chained cassia to)

  • @ASilverNMeep886

    Just to put it in other words, chain has 2 activations, one to attach each end to a hero. Grubby sent chain to Cassia while his mouse was still to the left and then quickly moved his mouse to the right to move his character, holding his 2nd activation for when Cassian got in range of his spike. He didn't send chain in an opposite direction of his cursor, he just fast af boi

    If you mean the not aiming part, it looks like he has quick cast on, so anywhere your mouse is and you press a button it will launch an ability in that area, and then he moves the mouse to the right to get the second chain off. Quick cast doesn’t show the outline of where the ability will hit.

    There is a cast delay. Grubby presses E a long time before the chain comes out.

    as a league player is this game worth putting hours into and replacing league?

  • @AllWIllFall2Me

    @AllWIllFall2Me

    Probably not REPLACING league, sadly, but I'd say it's worth putting hours into. The problem is that Hots has a much smaller player-base, in part because it was late to the scene, and in part because in 2018, they moved it into "no new content" mode (which meant it still got new content for a year or so after, as they finished what they were working on.) Here's what HotS does different than league: 1. A variety of maps. Hots has 15* different maps, each with a different lay-out and different objective, meaning that for a given map, certain heroes will be better or worse. This map, for instance, since it has two important area control zones, gives an advantage to heroes that are able to endure multiple skirmishes between fragments of the team, rather than, say, full team-on-team brawls. Other maps have single massive PvE objectives, meaning characters that deal a lot of single-target damage are stronger, while other maps have hordes of smaller PvE objectives, incentivizing AoE and minion clear, several maps only have two lanes instead of three, reducing the need for wave-clear, etc etc. This is probably one of the bigger reason to get into HotS and play around, since it'll take like, 10+ hours just to TRY all the maps. (* - Technically, I think one of the maps is ONLY accessible by custom games, as it had a lot of bugs and balance struggles (It was a map where, to complete the objective, you would enter a SECOND MAP, representing the mine tunnels under the level, and clear out undead. Since it's the only map in the game where you swap between maps, there were a lot of weird hiccups for effects) 2. No item shop. Instead, each character has a set list of 'talents' that are unlocked and chosen at specific levels (1, 4, 7, 10*, 13, 16, 20), with players choosing between 2-5 options at those levels, serving the role of modifying your stats or abilities. 3. Shared XP. since there's no shop, last hitting doesn't give gold (if that's how it works, it's been a long time since I played LoL), it just lets you auto-pickup the XP from a minion death, and that XP goes to a shared pool. This really hampers the ability for a single player to carry the team (though it doesn't eliminate it, it just makes it a lot trickier/more skill-intensive to pull off) 4. Weirder heroes. Again, it's been a long time since I played LoL, but as I recall, HotS has more heroes that are more fundamentally crazy than LoL. Like, the Lost vikings are 3 characters that you control independently and basically force you to play the game as a something closer to an RTS. Similarly, the slug Abathur is super weak in person, but they spawn additional quasi-minions in their lane, can shield and buff allies across the map, can lay mines to interrupt enemy rotations, etc. Cho'Gall is one body with 2 players in it: Cho controls the movement of the body, punching enemies and throwing bombs, while the second head, Gall, has no physical form, but throws an extra set of abilities out of the body.

    Been playing hots since beta and tried league a few years before. It wasn’t until a week or two ago that my friends and I are playing league and I’m really getting into it, but I would say HOTS is definitely worth putting hours into. HOTS is more fun, high octane action. Fights can last quite awhile of back and forth mayhem. Audio and visual queues are much better and easier to see and have power to them. LoLfeels like people slapping wet noodles but the health bar will say otherwise- theres no “oomph” in fights. What I’m hating about LOL is the fact that one person can 1v3 or 1v4 people at times. Absolutely stupid and ridiculous. Hots has everything shared so you’ll only ever be as good as the weakest link- which can also be frustrating too. The map rotation makes things refreshing and new every match too. The game has much more action, less grinding for late game, is easier to get into, but can also be extremely technical at high levels of play. The selection of characters are better and pretty unique in HOTS too. I also feel they play and feel better in HOTS. Characters like Kael’Thas and Artanis have amazing audio queues for the enemy team but chunk and feel good to play in your hands. I don’t get this with league unfortunately, as fun as it can be. I’d recommend playing it but know that it’s in maintenance mode so don’t expect anything new. But the game has a ton to offer as is. Also there’s always a chance to come back in hots. In league one or two mistakes can snowball and before you know it your whole team is surrendering because nothing can be done. Hots has the chance of screwing people for their mistakes late game and punishing them for it, but only if your team works together to do it. So is therefore easier for new people to get into. As a new player in league, idk what I’m doing and before I know it I’m getting flamed for not knowing such a technically complex game.
