Hey everyone! I'm very sorry for the mysterious disappearance over the past few weeks. Thank you so much for all the messages of concern, and for checking in on me. That is greatly appreciated. On a personal level (health etc.) I am absolutely fine. Unfortunately, the reason for my absence, is that I've been tangled up arguing with KZread (again). For some inexplicable reason they don't like the way I create my content. Apparently it's an issue that I code all of my games myself. It's perfectly cool for others to use 3rd party software to quickly crank out videos (including music trivia), but apparently spending hundreds of hours to custom code my own quizzes is a problem. It truly boggles my mind. Since day one of starting this channel I have gone out of my way to create a music trivia experience that is completely different from anything else you can find on KZread (or anywhere else). It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but many (you guys!) do embrace the challenge/interactivity, and together I think we've built an amazing community of diehard music trivia fans. Unfortunately, in this case, KZread has decided they are going to play gatekeeper. I guess you, the viewers, don't get to decide what sort of content you like. They'll take care of that for you. I'm not exactly sure what they think they are protecting you from, but rest assured they are on the job! Anyways, as you can tell I'm very frustrated, but this is already a long rant, so I won't go on. The upshot is that I won't be creating any more music trivia for the time being, I guess. I'm extremely disappointed as this has been a long time passion project for me, and I've absolutely loved the chance to connect with you, my fellow music trivia diehards, every week. I will really miss it. I will continue to brainstorm and see if there is a way to bring back the channel in some way in the future. In the meantime all the best to you and your families. Thanks so much for supporting the channel and playing the games each week. I hope you had as much fun with them as I did. Friday nights just won't seem the same without you guys. ☹ Cheers, MM

We are sure going to miss you AGAIN!! Is there any way we can help fight the fight against KZread!? What if you make your own website for trivia?! I’m so so sad we won’t get to have your weekly games and so sorry you’re going through this again! I told Paul two weeks ago, I said I bet it’s the stupid KZread rules again and he’s back in a fight with them.

glad to hear you are okay, you really have built such a beautiful little community and it’s a shame that youtube feel the need to try mess that up. hopefully you manage to find a way to make things work and are able to continue making quizzes in the future at some point i’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the channel for if that day comes. best wishes.

Did you run into a problem with the Reused and repetitious content policy - lots of channels are being demonetized for that right now. One fix is to show your face during the game play, I know no one wants to do that but YT tends to grant monetization to channels that show a human face ...
